He will talk about The Black Wall Street in the 1920s and the bombing but more importantly the entrepreneurship spirit of the people who lived than. Also the unity of black people and organizations such as Black Wall Street organization in 2024. Also the saddening networth of a large percentage of black people in January of 2023 which was zero. Also why white individuals are not responsible for slavery or current day crimes against black people but the American Government is. Also a strong family foundation and entrepreneurship and the the young moms organization as an alternative to crime in the black communities and cities.

Redefining Strength: J. Cole, Apologies, and Changing the Narrative in Black Culture J. Cole apologizing to Kendrick Lamar is way bigger than just rap beef. It's honestly got me thinking about how we as a community sometimes get trapped in this messed-up idea of what strength looks like. Why are some people upset about the apology? Because we've been taught that admitting you're wrong, that owning up to a mistake, is somehow weak. That real men don't back down, don't apologize. But that's a toxic mindset. J. Cole taking responsibility – that's what strength truly is. His apology isn't just about him and Kendrick. It's about breaking this cycle of 'revenge culture' that runs through rap and way beyond it. It's about choosing growth and understanding over always needing to prove yourself. This whole thing should make us question the way we think about rap and its influence. Back in the stone age (a.k.a. pre-WiFi), I devoured the first few installments of Harry Potter movies on the big screen, then dove headfirst into the books. My desktop wallpaper? A pixelated poster of Daniel Radcliffe. A classmate of mine, another Potterhead warrior, would download Daniel's photos from internet cafes, burn them onto CDs, and smuggle them to me in class – the ultimate act of fandom in the pre-WiFi days. But back then, 14-year-old me was all about the magic and adventure. J.K. Rowling painted this vivid world that sparked my imagination. One major regret? Surpassing Hogwarts admission age (turns out Dumbledore's letters only go to 11-year-olds!). Fast forward 20 years, and here I am: 34, a mom of two boys, revisiting the Wizarding World. This time, it's a whole new adventure – through a 'Parent's Perspective'. Reading through Harry's unfortunate childhood hits differently now. I understand his struggles, his choices, and the profound importance of finding a home in Hogwarts. As I raise my own little wizards, I can't help but hope to instill those same values: moral courage, power of friendships and standing up for what's right – even when it's scary. Most important thing... letting my children know that they will be loved by their parents unconditionally - "Always..." So, here is a takeaway for my fellow muggles- Whether you're facing demanding bosses or navigating messy relationships, remember: Courage, Kindness, and Love are the ultimate spells. Imagine black history without our real history. The potential to aspire we have always had even in the midst of extreme opposition and death. Could it be possible that we as black people are a stronger, wiser people because of oppression: surely debatable. I ask only because we have endured what no people should have to endure or tolerate. How do you keep your focus in a system of racism and operate outside of it. Honestly that is the evolution we all know to well. Success is navigating through a gauntlet set up to thwart anything black or of color from progress or opportunity. Our next level depends on forward thinking with the clear understanding of what has been and why.

Great 2 days at our latest 100 Black Heads Retreat. My takeaways: 1. Widening the SEND lens so that the graduated approach and assess/plan/do/review become part of all that we do is a way to reduce the complexity and overwhelming nature of SEND given the current landscape. 2. Strategic and cultural leadership decisions about the graduated approach can reduce the burden on SENDCOs and increase their capacity to provide specialist support. 3. We don’t spend enough time thinking about the universal provision. The Difference inclusion framework seems like a good way to think about this. 4. My ethical principles and leadership behaviours need to be defined in order to allow me to make leadership decisions that will ultimately align with the inclusive vision that I will have when I’m a Head. GREENSHAW LEARNING TRUST - seem to be doing some great work in this space led by Amelie. Excited to take what I’ve learnt to my new role at Future Academies.
