Look at what our Government is doing.
Trump writes, “Rebecca Lavrez, also known as the “J6 Praying Grandma,” has been unfairly targeted by Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, and now faces up to 1 YEAR in prison for peacefully walking around the Capitol, and praying for our Failing Nation on January 6th! Rebecca is a 72-year-old Grandmother and Small Business Owner from Colorado, and now she is one of Joe Biden’s J6 HOSTAGES!!! Crooked Joe Biden spends more time prosecuting Patriots like Rebecca, AND ME, than Violent Criminals, Thugs, Murderers, and ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS who are destroying our Country. THIS IS WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST. MAGA2024!”

When violence happens, it turns entire worlds upside down. Families and friends end up processes, systems, and emotions that are new and overwhelming. We published the Surviving Violent Crimes Handbook, in both English and Spanish, to support loved ones of victims. Here’s an excerpt from a section on courthouse tips and guidelines: “Many crime victims find it helpful to have a trusted friend or family member accompany them to court hearings. It can also help to have someone prepared to be present and listen after court hearings.” For a digital or physical copy, click here: https://lnkd.in/g7mQ-wAQ

Show Topic: The Way Forward A Conversation About Policing And Crime In America Join the Co-host Chiefs on Thursday at 6PM CST. As they discuss is there a way forward a conversation about policing and crime in America. The year 2020 was clearly an extremely challenging time for communities and law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. High-profile use-of-force incidents led to days of protests, civil unrest, and, tragically, further violence, destruction, and death. After the most recent police brutality incident in Mississippi where six former Rankin County Sheriff deputies are facing prison time for the brutal beating of two black men. So, the challenge confronting our communities and our agencies is how to effectively move forward together to build a shared understanding and identify common solutions to better protect our communities. I am thankful for law enforcement's decisive actions that thwarted a potential tragedy. It is imperative that we commend their unwavering dedication to our safety and security. Additionally, we cannot overlook the pressing need for enhanced mental healthcare services in our society, to address the mental health crisis that has been exacerbated over the past 30 years. Lastly, we must address the issue of increasing polarization in our political discourse and the disheartening escalation of rhetoric targeted at people of faith. We must call for a return to civil and respectful dialogue to heal our nation's divides. Faith and love for America should unite our land and people. https://lnkd.in/eJvNHbuM

We're relieved that the recent incident at a Louisiana church didn't turn into a tragedy, but it's important to consider the following questions: Would you be ready to take action as a bystander? Are your employees prepared to respond if a similar situation occurs? Shockingly, half of all attacks are over before law enforcement arrives. That's why it's crucial to be able to provide emergency care to those injured prior to first responders arriving. While we can't always prevent these events, we can be prepared to take action. Check out the link below to read about how parishioners took action to stop a potential attacker. Stay safe and stay prepared. Link: https://lnkd.in/gs2n-Cmi
