We had a great time in Chicago last week exploring all things Retail Media! We had a day of impactful meetings with our RMN partners, graciously hosted by our friends at The Trade Desk, and attended (and sponsored!) Path to Purchase Institute's sold-out Retail Media Summit, alongside 700+ industry professionals. This year's Retail Media Summit highlighted the importance of collaboration in the changing retail landscape and the value of events like this for building connections and driving innovation and growth. A few key themes we took away from the educational sessions: 💡 In-Store Innovation: There was much discussion around "the next frontier of retail media" being focused on in-store opportunities. This shift aims to close the loop on retail media efforts while addressing retailer adoption and consumer privacy concerns. 🤳 Loyalty Program Power: Representatives from Sam's Club MAP, Roundel, and Walgreens highlighted how loyalty programs are crucial for fostering long-term customer relationships. These programs leverage first-party data to offer meaningful rewards and personalized experiences. 📈 KPIs: A variety of sessions discussed evolving KPIs beyond just ROAS to metrics such as Sales Rank Lift, Total Sales Share Lift, and Brand Affinity. Brands engaged with RMNs in healthy debate on their satisfaction with metrics and reporting, and how many KPIs per program are really warranted. A great event to attend as we keep our finger on the pulse of what's happening in the Retail Media space!
