I'm thrilled to announce that my latest book, The Follower Effect: A Story About Flipping the Script on Leadership, will be available in just a few months! This book, a product of my doctoral research over the past three years, is not just a publication. It’s a testament to my personal journey and the culmination of countless hours of hard work and insights. I'm truly excited to share this with you all. In The Follower Effect, I delve into the often underestimated yet incredibly influential dynamics of followership. Through a teaching parable format, you'll follow the story of a high-powered CEO on a transformative journey to uncover the true essence of leadership. Each chapter concludes with practical insights you can immediately apply to your personal and professional life, empowering you to make a real difference. Whether you're a seasoned leader, an emerging professional, or simply someone passionate about personal growth, this book offers valuable lessons for everyone. Stay tuned for the official release date and pre-order details for the book! Additionally, as my research progresses, I will share groundbreaking insights with a group of HR executives later this year. The focus will be on transitioning from a traditional leader-centric development model to a more holistic approach that addresses the duality of leading/following roles that nurture the Whole Person. This new perspective fosters a healthier organizational culture by seamlessly integrating leadership and followership development. Also, later this year, I will introduce a new performance management framework, Talent Canvas, designed to refresh and modernize the old 9-box system. This framework aims to provide a more comprehensive and dynamic approach to assessing and developing organizational talent. At The Encompass Group, we constantly stay on the cutting edge of people optimization. We are excited to partner with DallasHR and The HRSouthwest Conference to introduce the Whole Person Framework and Talent Canvas in the fall, in addition to a series of webinars on the Art of Talent. Thank you for your continued support, and here's to flipping the script on leadership together! #NewBook #Leadership #Followership #TheFollowerEffect #culture #beonpurpose #DoctoralResearch #TeachingParable E3 Leadership Academy

Tony - thank you for this book. I'm really curious about this subject and I'm excited about reading the book. I'm all about healthier organizational cultures. It's so important to integrate leadership and talent at all levels. Leadership sometimes gets lost in their own bubble. Having a real relationship with talent/employees means success for an organization, and for all. I've worked for companies where I feel invested and protective of my employer, manager, team members and culture. There's nothing like it and I was always grateful for the people who lead and gave. Here are a few people that made that difference, some have moved on from Employer Branding, but they've left a lasting impression. Lisa Virgoe, Stephen Eaton, Mark deTranaltes, Joanna Meis, Louis Schaul, & Fred Pratt. Thank you for being great managers and generous human beings.
