Late to post, last Friday our Leadership team came together for our monthly Leadership meeting. Always taking the time to develop our team, and Inspect what we Expect. It was Shoppers report review as well. Huge shout out to so many of our teams for delivering an exceptional first visit for new prospects.
After shopping some big competitive brands in TX, OK, MO, and NWA, I have to say. I’m so glad we regularly inspect what we expect.
Here’s some entertaining laughs from shopping some big brand competitors….I won’t say the brands names. But the responses caused some laughs.
1. “What’s this Red Light therapy you offer?” - dazed and cofused gym employee: “it’s the new tanning with no heat” 🤪
2. In regards to a CryoLounger in a recovery room - “what’s this?” - Clueless employee: “it’s a massage chair”. 😜
3. The anti sales person of a huge brand - “don’t join this club, we have a much better one down the street, go there” 🤷♂️
4. GlenGarry Glen Ross sales person - “join for 24 months and you’ll save $xxx.”, me: “but what if I need to cancel”, “just come see me, I got ya”. 😂
5. Me upon walking in: “I’d like to see the club and get pricing” - Front desk human placeholder: “it’s not my job, leave your keys here so I know you won’t steal a dumbbell and go walk around.” No DGW, nothing! Upon returning from my self lead tour…”how much are memberships?”. Front desk human placeholder: “you can go online.” 🤪
6. “There’s no members in this Recovery Room, do people use it?”, Employee response: “actually I’ve only seen our employee in here on break.” 😴
7. “How come there’s only 2 Group Exercise classes today if y’all have 7000 members.’, (during the tour we were told 7000.) General Managers response… “the Group ex people don’t like to work and we go by their schedule”. 🤪😜😝
