As part of our celebration of #PrideMonth, we partnered with seven of the UK’s largest real estate companies to host a Pride in Property event in Soho. With over 350 attendees, the event was a roaring success, raising over £2,200 for our charity partners Just Like Us and Micro Rainbow in support of the #LGBTQIA+ community. A big thank you to Valentino Vecchietti (she/her), the designer of the Pride flags currently flying on Regent Street for attending and supporting the event, and our very own Chris Kkoshi for a wonderful performance! 💛 Matchmade – Shopping centre space repurposed for brilliant charity. ASTOP LIMITED was one of the very first businesses ever to join A Good Thing, just a few days after we launched our pilot in February 2021. ASTOP’s mission is transforming unused spaces for good causes, right across the UK, and as such the firm is a brilliant partner for A Good Thing. In the spring the firm offered some office space in Plymouth via A Good Thing, and more recently ASTOP listed space in both the Midlands and Buckinghamshire. The High Wycombe space immediately caught Colin McGregor-Paterson’s eye at The Oasis Partnership charity – an organisation that engaged an amazing 700 individuals in Chesham last year: “It couldn’t have come at a better time. It was ideal for what we needed.” Discover how the space has been transformed: ➡ https://bit.ly/3FFmeBE #charity #circulareconomy #sendlesstolandfill #sustainable #sustainability #thankyou #supportlocal #recycle #reduce #reducewaste #charityneed #supportlocal #sharingeconomy #emptyspace #officespace #officespaces #repurposing #repurpose

Companies nurture leaders and learn how to innovate in various ways, with acquiring knowledge being certainly one of the key approaches. Having more leaders who share the same knowledge within one organisation is a starting point for #positivechange. #IFLP
Knowledge is to be shared, especially the knowledge that drives a company to deliver its mission. Having been an #IFLP participant herself, Sarah Bolton is now delighted to see more colleagues joining the Programme and supporting the charity in its innovation efforts. “Breaking out of our norms" is how Sarah described the benefits of IFLP, which is why the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity sends more leaders to the IFLP programme. #APTipTuesday - When selecting a venue for an event, consider the space from the perspective of guests who may be in a wheelchair or have other accessibility considerations. A client who is hosting a conference in another state was excited about a meeting space in a historic building for one of their functions, but we needed to remove that venue from consideration when we learned there is no elevator access to the second floor event space. #AnnPlans #nonprofiteventplanning #tiptuesday #nonprofit #eventplanning

Decoding Real Estate Jargon: Terms to Know As-Is. If you’re looking at a property that’s noted “as-is,” it means the homeowner is unwilling to perform most, if not all, of the repairs identified during inspections, etc. The ‘as-is’ state is the condition of the home when the offer is written. Corby Town Council Budget Consultation 2024-25 Corby Town Council is asking residents to participate in setting the spending priorities for the town into 2024-5 and beyond. We want Corby to be the top town council in the UK and this in turn will make Corby a great place to live. The Town Council to date has:- · Provided free to attend events in the town such as Corby's first ever Pride and Christmas market as well as the Spirit of Corby. · Provided grants to a wide range of community groups in the town and worked alongside organisations who aim to improve the lives of the people of Corby. - Represented Corby in the context of the local area and on a national scale. · It has continued the Mayoral office which promotes civic pride and presence and raised money for the Mayors charities throughout the year. The Council has a number of budget pressures which it is aware of and for which we need to plan: 1. Allotment sites for Corby which will mean investment and increased running costs 2. Accommodation - we need to find an alternative office and community space from 2024 3. Inflation costs which impacts all current outgoings such as business rates, IT, broadband and staff costs. 4. Increased attendance at our events as these become more widely known which mean ...
