#AI is proving to be a major challenge for early adopters in most sectors, but especially #marketing. Marketers are used to moving fast and adapting to a rapidly changing landscape, it's how we've managed to see such huge evolutions in the industry over the last decade, but it's different with #AI. AI requires some extra forethought and discussion. What might be the cutting-edge of innovation right now could pose unique challenges, especially in legal realms. AI is a tool, a powerful tool, and a tool cannot be trusted to wield itself. Not sure how or where AI fits in your marketing strategy? AI, is, not surprisingly, a huge topic at #inbound23 There's A LOT to consider, but it boils down to this: Don't think about what (or who) AI will replace, think first about what it will augment. Let's use content as an example: You'll need your editors. As Meghan Keaney Anderson of Jasper shared, editors are going to be more important than ever. Sure, you can generate the first draft of your blog, for example, with AI, but to ensure it meets your brand requirements, is infused with pertinent information that solves your customer's very specific pain points, and offers real-world examples of how and why your solution/offering/product helps them solve that problem, you'll need those editors. This is the way to think about AI. It's not a catch-all solution that can replace people en masse. It's a tool that can augment your efforts to drive efficiencies. There is a lot been spoken about use of AI to enhance productivity or use it as a replacement for creativity. As marketeers we need to understand that *effective* use of AI is more about understanding its role as an enabler. True innovation and compelling content need genuine insights, data, and creative freedom. Without these elements, leveraging AI alone won't yield impactful results. That said, there needs to be a balance in both to drive marketing strategies. #AI #Thoughts
