Companies often struggle to figure out when branding work is needed vs. doubling down on marketing efforts. Discerning the difference between a strategic marketing issue and a brand positioning issue is really hard. If you're wondering about this yourself, there are three key times in a company's development when we can say with a pretty good degree of certainty that an investment in a strategic branding exercise will be beneficial: 1) When you're in the startup phase and launching your company 2) When you're going through a major leadership transition 3) When you're struggling to get traction in a market that's recently changed #branding #b2bbranding #brandstrategy

💥How Does Your Leadership Impact Your Brand? The company leader is the single most powerful influencer on branding - the visionary behind the brand. As the leader at the helm, downplaying or ignoring your role in shaping your company’s brand often weakens your potential success and dilutes the potential impact of your brand. 🔥EMBRACING YOUR BRAND POTENTIAL as the leader and visionary behind your brand provides the additional direction and focus much needed to help your brand grow and flourish. 🔥Branding is the dominant decider for competing successfully in today’s business world. 🔥Organisations with the strongest brands are able to achieve far greater market share, higher profits, and long-term viability and sustainability. Whilst most companies focus their branding efforts on marketing, platform and brand collateral, many neglect one of the most important drivers of their brand – their chief executive’s or managing director’s BRAND LEADERSHIP. Good evening. Hope you had a fantastic Monday? so today I want talk on *Leadership and Branding* No brand is ever successful without good and effective leadership. Understand that the success of your brand is dependent on how effective you are as a leader. No brand is ever successful without good and effective leadership. It's important to note that the level of your brand determines the level of your leadership. What you do or chose not to do can determine the success or failure of you brand. Understand that you are the driver of your brand. Anything anybody else does for your brand is just an addition. You are the pivot of your brand. It's important to note that the level of your branding determines the level of your leadership. If your brand must grow, then you as a leader must grow. You must love knowledge and you must yearn for growth. How far you've grown as a person determines how far your brand would grow. You must learn to take charge if your brand must grow. Make the decision that failure is not an option. Growth is a personal, conscious and precised decision. So if your brand must grow or if you must grow as a brand, it must be a personal, conscious and precised decision. Growth is not accidental. No brand just grew like that. It came as a result of someone's decision, sacrifice, pain, ability to always take the lead. For your brand to grow, you must always take the leader. Be The Driver. Whatever help you get on the way, should be a booster. Don't completely put your hopes on People to build and grow your brand. No one can take it as personal as you.

Thought leadership is an important part of most brand's identity. But, don't over do it. Let me explain. A lot of people confuse industry expertise and thought leadership. Industry expertise is self explanatory but 'thought leadership' is the blanket term I'm going to use here for motivating, inspiring, leading, guiding people in general. Attempting to inspire and motivate by sharing thought leadership style content IS important for a brand. It shows your values, your ability to lead and guide and gives insights into who you really are. But, some people rely on leadership style content so heavily that it takes away from your overall brand and business goals because people may not even know exactly what you actually do. There's a lot of great leaders and coaches out there that many people follow and sometimes it's easy to adopt their messages and share them in your own way. And again- there's nothing wrong with that. But, if you're having that be the overwhelmingly dominant part of your content creation- when you yourself are not necessarily a coach or leader- it can be confusing (and dare I say, sometimes, condescending). There isn't a perfect formula for marketing your brand and creating content. But, just as we are humans with various interests and qualities, your brand should mirror that diversity in order to be optimally succesful.

How can your business build a legacy that stands the test of time? Joshua Frick from Forbes discusses what we can learn from legacy brands to ensure long-term success. Here are some key takeaways: 💡 Legacy brands often have generational ownership, resulting in a deep commitment to quality and long-term success. These brands prioritise culture, values, and people, focusing on building trust and reliability. 💡 Legacy brands go beyond profit by committing to exceptional customer experiences and high-quality products. They invest in their workforce, understanding that satisfied employees contribute to long-term success. 💡 Successful legacy brands find a balance between maintaining foundational principles and adapting to changing times. This balance ensures they remain relevant while staying true to their core identity. Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/ervr7zkr #BusinessGrowth #ValueDriven #Leadership
