From Inman: "A great question can serve as a compass for how you invest your time," writes Jay Papasan, vice president of strategic content, Keller Williams Realty, Inc. "Will this get me closer to my #goal? Does this align with my values? Will this make me stronger?" "These “compass questions” work for individuals, teams and companies with a clear, singular #priority. When we lack clarity or a true north priority, we can justify any course of action," writes Papasan. "Robert Brault put it well when he wrote, 'We are kept from our goal not by obstacles but by a clear path to a lesser goal.'" "One question to ponder in your #thinking time: How can I build the #habit of asking my compass question to stay on track?" #productivity #mindset #leadership
Asking this vital question can help you achieve your goals

Business Executive I Growth I Customer & Employee Experience I Organisational design I Transformation I Communication
Our eyes are not built to look only at what is right in front of us. But I don’t think we can endlessly stare at the horizon either. Our brain needs the mix. This is also the fascinating and never ending balance in leadership and business. Setting the direction, seeing the long term possibilities ahead, identifying them together and then switching to the short term action, do the curves, enjoy the perfectness of some areas and correcting the line at other areas. Making sure everyone finds the way. And then remember often enough to raise the gaze to see the horizon. But not too often so you miss the next curve needed right in front of you. You don’t want to miss either the perfect powder-curve nor the crucial one to avoid the 🌲. Wait, is it leadership or freeride skiing I am talking about? 🤔 Well never mind, both are challenging, exhausting, thrilling and fun! All at once. Rewarding most of all. And remember to enjoy the breaks, the snacks and most of all the company! Crucial part of the adventure 😊 #yourtrailyourterms #freeridespirit

In leadership, stopping a speeding train often requires a feather, not a sledgehammer. It’s about finesse, not just force. 🚆🪶 #coachjoe Facing workplace challenges is akin to skiing through a landslide. Success lies in balance and poise, not just in conquering the slope. 🎿 These images remind us that effective leadership thrives on gentle influence and maintaining equilibrium amidst turmoil. Let’s embrace subtlety and grace, steering our teams through challenges with strategic calm and steady hands. #GentleLeadership #NavigatingChallenges #EquilibriumInLeadership

What is that one leadership trait that I value the most, over anything else? Consistency! 💯 Remember those days when you had your cycling lessons? Was it an hour? Was it a day? Or was it a week? It would have taken us an immeasurable amount of consistency to finally ride with confidence. When something as common as cycling requires consistency, don’t you think it is required in our everyday lives? We need to be consistent in everything we do! Here are three simple ways in which I encourage my team INFINIMINDS to keep themselves consistent. These will help you too - 1️⃣Set-small targets and try to reward yourselves whenever you achieve those targets. 2️⃣Review your progress on a weekly basis, and try to reconsider your targets if they are too high, or increase them if you find them too low. 3️⃣Schedule time for “action making”. If possible, try to create a ten-minute planner on your calendar for action making. This will motivate you to work towards something. Consistency is the key to achieving greater heights. Always keep trying it out until you achieve it. #motivation #leadership #inspiration INFINIMINDS

Recruitment Trainer, developing people in the recruitment industry through face to face and online video training. My objective is to get you 'RecruiterFit!'
What type of bike, I mean leader are you? This idea came to me live during a Recruiting Gym - home of recruitment training daily workout with Angela Cripps and Clare Davis. There were 2 topics: taking a bike ride and leadership - unlikely bedfellows you may be thinking. BUT, great for a little analogy. I'm sure there are plenty of other analogies you could use regarding bikes, for example: * Are you a mountain bike and good in difficult terrain * Are you a highly sophisticated racing bike, lightweight, lean and mean? * Are you still the old 'penny farthing?' * Are you a tricycle and not quite ready to progress to 2 wheels? * Are you a unicycle (solopreneur)? * Are you a bike that is a little rusty and seen better days but have great memories? Over to you. Please feel free to join in. Alan AKA Mr. RecruiterFit #recruitmenttraining #recruitment #recruiters #leadership
