In 2019, Gabe bravely announced her mantra as "Until further notice, celebrate everything," which carries a profound message. Those who knew Gabe could confirm that she genuinely found joy in every moment. Whether it was a run, fresh snowfall, the sea, or her birthday. This June, we encourage you to embrace every little joy. We aim to raise funds for rare cancer research and motivate others to keep running on hope. Our target is to raise $38,000 in June in memory of Gabe's 38th birthday. Stay tuned for all the ways we’ll be inviting you to celebrate with us! #celebrateeverything #bravelikegabe #runningonhope #rarecancerresearch

Don a christmas jumper, have a coffee and mince pie and join in our festive charity appeal! This is a bit of fun, however the issue couldn't be more serious.. 2023 has seen some of the longest waiting times for treatment that cancer patients have ever known. Waiting too long for treatment increases the risks of dying from cancer. We will use every penny raised to campaign to get cancer patients treated on time and improve their chances of being cured and living longer, better. Your donation makes the difference. Thanks to our supporters, in the past year our work has: - Been the first to raise concerns about the lack of ambition for cancer patients in the reduction in NHS cancer targets - Brought cancer waiting times for treatment into the heart of Parliament, providing each and every MP with details of how long their constituents have to wait to get life-saving cancer treatment - Launched a series of reports and analysis that call out the current cancer crisis in the UK, highlight the need for urgent change to improve patient survival rates, spotlight how the UK is falling behind in radiotherapy treatment compared to similar countries, and offer practical solutions We are tiny but determined to keep holding govts to account and speaking up for the 4 in 10 cancer patients waiting too long for life-saving treatment this Christmas. You can too by supporting our campaign. Set up a fundraising page for your coffee morning at https://lnkd.in/ehDPYGDe or collect donations and make a BACs transfer instead. Contact our team if you would like our details to do this. Or treat yourself to a coffee and a mince pie this festive season. Talk about how cancer has changed your life. Then, take action. Please consider a donation of £6 to help us advocate on behalf of every patient waiting for treatment.
Is there such a thing as feeling festive AND furious? While the holiday season is a happy time for many, it's certainly not for the almost 4 in 10 cancer patients waiting too long for treatment. And with every 4 week delay comes a 10% increase in death. Appalling. If this feels wrong to you, please consider gathering your friends, family and colleagues for a coffee and mince pie morning to raise funds for our #CatchUpWithCancer festive appeal. Every penny raised will support our year-long campaigning work as we speak up and out on behalf of cancer patients. Thank you. https://bit.ly/3RekQwm

We are two weeks into our No Shave November campaign and the amount of money raised so far is outstanding! In an effort to show how YOUR donations help the department of urology, we asked Dr. Jay Raman of Penn State Health to answer the question "Where does the money go?". Also, prostate cancer survivor Larry Delaney shares his experience fighting this terrible disease and pledges a financial commitment to the No Shave November campaign. #NoShaveNovember #midpenn4charity #NoShaveMPB Rory Ritrievi

Okay, okay, I know I've been dropping more fundraiser posts than cups of coffee I've skipped (and trust me, that's a lot!). But guess what? This one's the game-changer – so hold onto your hats! As you know, I'm taking on the Noosa Triathlon challenge to raise the roof for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. And here's the scoop: I'm almost there with $2465 (high-fives all round), but my goal of $3500 is calling our names. Now, speaking of coffee – how about trading in just one morning cup for a day? Just one! Donate that $5 you would've spent on the good ol' caffeine fix. And guess what? If my math's on point (which I promise, it usually is), and if all my fantastic LinkedIn pals pitch in, we're talking a whopping $4200 for a cause that truly matters. So here's the not-so-secret recipe: 1. Pretend to sip from an imaginary coffee cup (optional, but adds flair). 2. Donate $5 (or more, if you're up for stealing the spotlight from your morning java!) to my fundraiser. Let's turn funds into lifesavers! 3. Spread this post like wildfire! Because hey, the more, the merrier. 🔗 Donation Link: https://lnkd.in/gS8A9zSs Let's turn my chatter into cheers, my posts into purpose, and maybe, just maybe, we'll break the internet and the fundraising goal. Thanks for humoring me through all my posts and for being absolute legends in supporting this journey!

162,000 people per year are diagnosed with some form of cancer. That’s why this July I will be running 162km in the hope to raise money for various cancer charities. I have started to strategise: How many Km’s per day do I want to run? How many days a week & what rest days do I take? What if I get injured throughout? The reality is, these 162,000 people didn’t get a choice or much of a strategy. The plan is to just run……… If you want to support, please see link below. https://lnkd.in/g3hWjGVx
