💣 GOOGLE BOMBSHELL: Internal Docs Leaked! Here are our biggest takeaways: 1. Despite years of denial, Google does have a site-wide authority metric called “siteAuthority.” 2. Google's “NavBoost” system heavily relies on click-through rates (CTR) and post-click behavior. Something Google has also previously denied. 3. New or untrusted sites can be temporarily sandboxed, but this isn't always the case. Google's algorithm is complex; and other factors like EMDs (Exact Match Domains) can sometimes override the sandbox effect. 4. Google leverages data from Chrome user clickstreams to inform its ranking algorithms, including sitelink generation and overall page quality assessment. 5. Google employs whitelists for sensitive topics like travel, COVID-19, and politics, potentially limiting the visibility of non-whitelisted sites. 6. Feedback from Google's quality raters appears to be integrated into the ranking algorithms, suggesting that human evaluation of content and user experience still holds significant weight. 7. Click data is used to classify links into different quality tiers, meaning not all links are created equal. The Verge adds: The leaked material suggests that Google collects and potentially uses data that company representatives have said does not contribute to ranking webpages in Google Search, like clicks, Chrome user data, and more. Are you also facing the Ranking Fluctuations just after the Google Algorithm Updates? 🤔 If you really want to know that the fluctuations in ranking are the result of google algorithms or not, then you must follow these steps: 💡 ✅Read the Algorithm properly, check all the links, articles and other related content related to the same. https://lnkd.in/gvK69b5G ✅ If you have an idea of all the points in algorithm then start auditing your website related to those specific points. ✅ Check penalties in GSC or if you find anything weird, then create a plan, give deadlines and start implementing those. ✅ If you don't find any reason related to algorithm, then be patient and don't make unnecessary changes in your webpages. ✅ Wait for sometime and check if your ranking is still fluctuation or now it's getting better. ✅ Check your past data's, if your company had experienced the same in the past because sometimes the ranking is also seasonal. ✅ Google algorithms are not always bad for every website, sometimes it helps other website to rank up in google.

One of the most fascinating insights from the Google API Leak: The urlHistory attribute indicates Google is STORING PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF PAGES: This was something that caught our eye when the leak came out and was excited to see that Andrew Ansley mentioned it in his article for Search Engine Land. The urlHistory attributes note that " if a doc has morethan 20 changes, we only keep the last 20 changes here to avoid adding tomuch data in its docjoin." This indicates that Google actually keeps a record of the 20 latest versions of a given page and stores them in the index. This means that it has it's own "Wayback Machine" if you will of 20 different versions of a page. Purely speculation, but it's entirely possible that Google could lean on those historical versions for certain parts of ranking/indexing. For instance, we've seen examples on our own site where historical title tags that we changed were still getting shown in the SERP even though the page had been updated months ago. Google keeping a historical version of the page would explain why. I'm wondering if others have seen similar instances or have other strange occurrences happen that can now be explained by Google keeping a previous record of their pages.

No Google employee authenticates that Google Ranking Signal Data Leaks are actually from Google. Most of things said in report are already known. Nothing new has come out which we might not know. Google uses general term “Site Authority” and it doesn’t have anything to do with Moz DA metric. Rather, due to DA manipulation, people wasted their a lot sites, money & time. Rest, it depends on how you…conduct a research and analyse different data for your or client’s site.
