While it was great to recognize all the award winners, the new AIA Fellows were not recognized individually as they have been at past galas. This has always been the time for new Fellows to be celebrated by their family, friends and colleagues. As a sponsor of a new Fellow it was very disappointing not to be able to cheer for him and his cohort. I hope this is reconsidered next year in Boston

It's always helpful to see where the The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Architectural Billings Index has headed. For July 2023, billings have stabilized, and inquiries are slightly up. ECONOMIC NEWS 🚨📈 The AIA/Deltek Architectural Billings Index (ABI) April score rose to 48.3. The score increased from March but still indicates that billings continue to decline at most architecture firms. “Continued high interest rates make it difficult for some projects to move forward, but there is ongoing interest in pursuing these projects once conditions improve. While the AIA/Deltek Architecture Billings Index (#ABI) score for the month rose from 43.6 in March to 48.3 in April, it indicates that billings continued to decline at the majority of firms. Inquiries into new projects continued to increase, as there remains interest in starting new projects. #aia #economy #architecture #architect #aec
