Please join us in congratulating Parole Deputy Division Director Jennifer Robinson on her retirement after 25 years of service to the state of Texas!🌟 Ms. Robinson began her career with TDCJ in 1998 as a Parole Officer at the Conroe DPO and later promoted to Unit Supervisor at the Huntsville DPO. She held many leadership positions within the division, including Assistant Section Director for the Huntsville Placement and Release Unit and Section Director of Review and Release Processing. In 2016, Ms. Robinson was promoted to Deputy Division Director where she has helped oversee field and central operations. On behalf of the agency, we want to thank Ms. Robinson for her dedication, hard work, and commitment. Her knowledge and experience will truly be missed. For 35 years, Marvin Dunbar has dedicated his career to the agency, starting as a Correctional Officer in 1989. Through hard work and determination, he rose through the ranks, becoming a Program Specialist V in 2004 and later serving as Deputy Division Director for the Rehabilitation Programs Division. He now serves as the Director of the Administrative Review and Risk Management Division. Mr. Dunbar's leadership and expertise have been instrumental in maintaining the agency's critical operations. We are grateful for his service and commitment to excellence. He was recognized by the Texas Board of Criminal Justice and Chairman Eric Nichols for his tenured career and dedication to serving the state of Texas. #TDCJ #employeespotlight #recognition

Please join us in congratulating Region II Director Carol Monroe on his retirement after 30 years of service!    Mr. Monroe began his career with TDCJ in 1994 as a Correctional Officer at the Pack Unit. Throughout his three decades of service, he promoted through the ranks and held every uniformed supervisor position at various units throughout the state. In February 2019, Mr. Monroe promoted to the Region VI Director, before transitioning to Region II in 2022. The correctional knowledge Mr. Monroe possesses, coupled with the support and mentorship he provides to staff, have been an invaluable asset to the agency throughout his tenure. Mr. Monroe has always tackled challenges head on, with an unwavering commitment to his staff, his peers, and this agency.  On behalf of the agency, we want to thank Mr. Monroe for his dedication, hard work and commitment. We wish him all the best in his retirement.

Food Service Officer, Christopher Meurin began his career in corrections at the Garza West Unit in 2006. His unwavering dedication and work ethic earned him several key positions at the Stevenson Unit, including Maintenance Deficiency Officer, and Officer over the Furniture Factory. His commitment to excellence is evident in his work and showcases his passion for improving the facility’s beautification. Throughout his career, Officer Meurin is a shining example of a correctional officer, always going above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of his team. Sergeant Steven Martinez began his tenured career with the agency in 1983 at the Memorial Unit, formerly known as the Darrington Unit, in Rosharon. After serving at the facility for several years, Sgt. Martinez was transferred to the Pack Unit in Navasota where he continued advancing his career and was promoted to Building Sergeant. A few years later, Sgt. Martinez was promoted to lieutenant a position he held until retiring in 2013. He returned to the agency a year later and was quickly promoted to sergeant and currently serves in the Transportation Sergeant position. Sergeant Martinez displays integrity when he walks the halls, holding staff and inmates accountable. For his continued service to Texas, Sgt. Martinez was recognized by the Texas Board of Criminal Justice and Chairman Eric Nichols. #TDCJ #employeespotlight #recognition #service
