Counseling and Empowering HNW and UHNW Clients Today, I read an eye-opening article in the Wall Street Journal that highlighted a trend among financial advisors—turning away High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients, feeling unfulfilled in their pursuit of growing wealth for those that are already wealthy. In "If All You Want Is Money, These Financial Advisers Might Say ‘No Thanks,'" Joe Pinsker explores how advisors grapple with their role in aiding the affluent to amass more wealth. Interestingly, while my approach at EsqWealth is also selective when it comes to clients, it stems from a different perspective entirely. Unlike the financial advisors mentioned in the WSJ article, my commitment to HNW and UHNW clients is driven by shared interests. I take pride in navigating the complexities of wealth management, optimizing assets, minimizing taxes, and shaping multi-generational legacies not only for my own family but for those with whom I work. In a landscape where advisors are redefining their roles, my focus is on empowering clients to not only accumulate wealth but also to thrive in its strategic management.
