The question is can it be done on the scale needed for our energy need? The simple explainer is, the way our sun emits its energy by the fusion of 4 hydrogen atoms into one helium atom and releasing the exes mass into energy. The main advantage over fission is off course no nuclear ☢️ waste, the biggest disadvantage... ok ok the production cost to make us all own a mini sun.
