We are underway! TerraPower, along with project partners & local supporters, celebrated the beginning of construction with a groundbreaking ceremony on the Natrium™ demonstration project. This marks the first advanced reactor project to move from design to construction. Watch the full video.
Let's get the new neighborhoods and supporting residential infrastructure built for the hundreds of new employees, team members and their families!
Great step in the right direction to provide carbon-free base load power to the grid.
The MSRR at Abilene Christian University already beat Natrium as the first advanced reactor project to construction.
Exciting milestone, TerraPower! Breaking ground on the Natrium™ project is a leap forward in advanced reactor technology. Looking forward to seeing the future of clean energy unfold with your groundbreaking work!
Congratulations terrapower
Very curious to see how this turns out!

2wGood Luck to Terrapower. I have been following the company since 2018; it is thrilling to see Bill Gates back Generation IV nuclear! I have a question: is the company still pursuing the Traveling Wave Reactor? It seems like the best prevailing nuclear reactor design: it breeds the common Uranium-238 isotope into Plutonium-239, uses liquid metal, and shares physics to the EBR-II reactor. I have a fiercely curious appetite for nuclear.
