Family office staffing. I'm not sure if it's the time of year or that there has been a tipping point but family offices seem to be hiring. If you're interested in the space, two very storied and interesting offices are seeking finance staff. Alberts and Cambooya Pty Ltd, both based in Sydney. If you look at the job descriptions, the theme is these are not your classic roles where you will be doing the same thing every day. Alberts, for example notes a "diversified investment portfolio, music catalogues, commercial real estate, a venture capital business, and philanthropic endeavours." I often see the finance role within these offices overlap with the investment side, which can be attractive for those looking to broaden their skill set.
