⚡ Fraud, hacking, and misinformation are all potential risks posed by the rise of generative AI.   In a year when a record number of voters around the world will head to the polls, the question becomes how this powerful technology could impact elections.   The 2024 Telesign Trust Index asked this exact question and found that 72% of voters worldwide fear AI-generated content will undermine upcoming elections in their country.   Recently, deepfakes have become one of the biggest AI-generated "weapons" used to spread misinformation. Our report also found that 81% of Americans believe that misinformation from deepfakes and voice clones could be negatively impacting the integrity of their elections.   The good news is that one of the most effective ways to combat AI-enabled fraud attacks is to utilize the same AI technology. By fighting AI with AI, online businesses and organizations can reduce the risks of fraudulent activity and the circulation of AI-generated content by fake accounts.   📑 Learn more about the latest Trust Index data findings (via Help Net Security): https://lnkd.in/gRTYVUdk
