I remember a theater director once imparting a valuable insight to me, saying, "If you've ever had a conversation with someone that you didn't plan on having that conversation with, you've done improv." Those words struck a chord with me, as they highlighted the ubiquitous nature of improvisation in our daily lives. It's true; life often throws unexpected scenarios our way, and we must adapt and respond in the moment, just as improvisational actors do on stage. Whether it's navigating spontaneous discussions, tackling unforeseen challenges, or embracing the unpredictability of life itself, we are all, in some way, engaging in the art of improvisation. It's a reminder that the skills honed in theater can be profoundly applicable to the world beyond the stage, fostering adaptability, quick thinking, and creativity in our everyday interactions. I also get to use improv for fun and entertainment. Read our current newsletter for details: https://conta.cc/44XYcfy

Denial, deception and….dance? We interrupt the normally schedule cyber deception content to bring this exciting announcement…. We have officially launched Ignis Arts LLC (check us out at ignisarts.com or follow us on Facebook at https://lnkd.in/e3JfhbrX). We are a ballroom and partner dance studio that specializes in teaching adults social dance, dancesport, and weddings/special events dances. In addition to our studio lessons, Ignis Mobile will bring partner dance and the arts into underutilized spaces like offices, apartments, and gyms, giving local artists access to students, while giving the community access to the arts! Our goal is to help the community find connection, friendship, and wellness through partner dance. If you had asked me a year ago when I started ballroom if I ever thought I would be launching my own business in this space, I would’ve said you were crazy. But when an opportunity to work with a professional dancer friend came along, it was really a dream opportunity. For a while, I’ve been thinking of getting my MBA. So in classic Maretta style I’m throwing myself in the deep end instead. I’m also super excited to find ways to connect my engineering life to my dancing life. For a while now I have been fascinated by just how many engineers make up the social dance scene in Boston (stay tuned for an upcoming blog on why I think STEM and dance share so much overlap). And I am passionate about using the arts and partner dance as a means of reducing burnout, decreasing stress, and overall helping the tech community find connection and a creative outlet. Buckle up, because I know this is going to be one wild ride. If you are in the Boston area, send me a DM or visit our website if you are interested in trying out a ballroom dance class. I promise you no one had two bigger left feet than me! And if you think dance could never be something for you, you might be surprised by just how wrong you are (I know I was!) #ballroomdance #newbusiness #startup #innovate #wellness #burnout #creative #STEAM #EngineersCanDanceToo

Parallel Entertainment Industry | Founder at HumanNobility.org | Singer & Writer | Ambassador for Beauty
I know that the world would be a much better place if many more people were listening to and watching this rather than Cardi B, Taylor Swift, and angry, violent news cycles. We need things that lift us to our highest human potential instead of rubbing our faces in putrid symbolic mud. This is an example is what we are creating, building, growing, and making flourish at the Center for Human Nobility. This is one of the fledgling projects starting to pick up serious traction. Me, singer & writer. Remix by veteran world-class DJ, Robbie Rivera. Rising stunning dance talent, Veronica Harvey. Remarkable cinematographer, McCall McClellan. Backed exclusively by courageous, generous private funders. Making its way into radio business conversations, extensive artistic networks, and recently a worldwide app. We've reached millions so far, with strategies in the works to reach many, many millions more. Beauty needs to be at the center of our common life again. We will fight--are fighting--for that reality. We are building a new infrastructure of the world's best artists with the most visionary investors and strategists so that these kinds of things come to dominate the popular culture. Join us.

What a great Valentine's Day gift! The second trailer to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire shows some new lore and sets up huge stakes. My favorite bit is knowing that Godzilla and Kong are frenemies. The two biggest monsters of all time have to stand each other and save the world. However, this does what all trailers should do -- gives more but doesn't spoil anything. The entire movie isn't on display like other movie trailers I know. I'm looking at you, Terminator franchise! As always, the CGI and practical effects look fantastic (all you effects artists out there rock). Also, isn't it great how much Godzilla we're getting? Toho is still making movies, Legendary Pictures is still making movies, and they still feel like massive events! Plus, even if you don't like the current versions, there are dozens of variants. I love it! Go, Go Godzilla! #godzillaxkong #godzilla #kingkong #film #visualeffects

GO HERE: https://trumpetsizzle.com #bandcamp #trumpetplayer #marchingband How can you learn to play trumpet better than anyone else? Hopefully you're not the type of trumpet student that says "I hate practicing my instrument." So to get really good on trumpet and we all know the trumpet section has the best players, you're going to have to learn how to find a good trumpet teacher. Think that's so easy? I guess the real question is how much do trumpet lessons cost and are the lessons worth it? First off don't get scammed. When you see the phrase online "free trumpet lessons" your spidey sense oughta be tingling. Undoubtedly you've listen to awesome trumpet players that actually play high notes that sound good. You've also heard some trumpet players that sound like a broken chain saw in the upper register. Maybe you have thought to yourself and wondered if trumpet players actually have a day job or do they only play full-time or do they play trumpet and also teach trumpet at the same time throughout the day? Each individual player is different but I would say it's a combination of the above. Some trumpet players also have a spouse working the typical nine-to-five day job. It is the spouse that brings home the bacon and pays most of the bills leaving our professional trumpet player somewhat unburdened. What if you want to make first trumpet chair in your band but your band director hates you and your trumpet playing? I say buckle down, practice twice as much and take twice as many trumpet lessons.
