Yesterday was a day of celebration for Technoport's Newcomers' lunches!🍾 It's already been one year since we launched this event, which brings our community together every month to exchange, get to know each other, create synergies, and have a good time together. We had the opportunity to take stock of this year and what's in store for next year, to introduce the Technoport team in a slightly more personal way, and to present one of our latest partners, dealsup.io, and its offer to increase sales for our startups. It was an event rich in sharing and good humor, as has been the case all year. We thank our community once again for these beautiful moments and hope that the story will continue in the coming year. "Embarking on journeys into the vast expanse of space is not easy. There is a need for new ways of thinking, for new commercial partners to support NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration in the development of novel technologies to address the healthcare challenges associated with space exploration. There is a need to develop new tools and new systems to manage support for a more diverse pool of space travelers, accommodate more pre-existing conditions, and enable a wider range of in-space activities. Now is a pivotal moment, enabling new opportunities for collaboration between NASA, startups, corporations, and investors to define the future of human activity in space. The convergence of once-in-a-generation trends in commercial spaceflight, artificial intelligence, and bioscience technologies will unlock the potential for entrepreneurs working in BioTech and MedTech–who may not have ever considered space to be a market—to launch high-impact, high-growth startups... To embark on the frontier of space health innovation is SPACE-H’s mission." Terrific article from our USA Managing Director Elizabeth Reynolds and Juan Carlos López (Senior Program Manager, Azure Space at Microsoft), covering the pressing need for the intersection of the space economy and health and how this industry is growing and adapting with the rise in space travel and eventual habitation. Linked below! US Market Entry & Business Growth. 76 countries 65 industries. #Startups #Scaleups #LabToLaunch #GoToMarketStrategy
Take a look my friends. Such a great, timely concept by Autoscriber! LOVE IT!!! Why have I dedicated my life to helping #Founders develop their business in other countries and then enter the #USMarket? Because problems solved elsewhere very often exist in massive numbers here in the #USA. Launching successfully in the USA is a financial springboard to more countries and solving the problem #globally. But, launching into the US Market can wreck the financial stability of a business. There are too many #unspokenrules that take too long and too much money to learn. Industries and regions each have their own quirky rules and deal structures. #Fundraising to gain more time and more reach can be a bear. It's a lonely road for Founders. I am grateful to ScaleNL and Techleap for their superb programs supporting #TradeMissions to the USA. I love coaching #startups & #scaleups with Netherlands Consulate in San Francisco because they do it right. Great teamwork. 77% of FOUNDERS who SUCCEED rely on #community! #StartupEcosystem #GoToMarketStrategy #ScaleupPitching
Excited to represent Autoscriber in Seattle & San Francisco next week during the US Trip organised by Techleap & ScaleNL! As one of the winners of the 2024 Academic Startup Competition, we will have the opportunity to visit the Microsoft Research Lab, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley, to name a few, as well as meet with US VCs and take part in various networking events. Looking forward to gaining valuable knowledge of the US health tech ecosystem and making connections that will help Autoscriber enable human-centric, data-driven healthcare beyond the borders of Europe. Shoutout to the impressive founders joining the trip Jeroen Glansdorp Hedderik van Rijn 🙂🚀 Leon Schipper Lucas Czentner Aisling Foley Auke Bleij Pavol Bodiš Amar Kamat 🔶 Lisanne Peters Ashok Sridhar, PhD MBA Athanasios Tsetas Dan Jing Wu Arjan Goudsblom

Business, M&A and Securities Attorney and Trusted Advisor to Diverse Founders, Emerging Companies and Investors
Introducing NASA’s SBIR Ignite. Small businesses take note. “A lower barrier to entry. A streamlined review and selection process. Accelerated technology development and awards. These are just a few of the concepts that NASA is testing out with SBIR Ignite, a pilot initiative for small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs that recently made its first Phase II awards. Housed under NASA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program, SBIR Ignite aims to increase participation from product-driven companies that are not looking at NASA as their primary customer. Differentiating it from the program’s mainline solicitations that focus on technologies with potential for both infusion in NASA missions and commercialization in the marketplace, the SBIR Ignite solicitation is less prescriptive and contains only a select few topics that are relevant to emerging commercial markets in aerospace. The initiative provides funding and other support to de-risk technologies that have a strong commercial pull, helping make them more attractive to investors, customers, and partners, and fulfilling a goal of SBIR to increase private sector commercialization of innovations derived from federal research and development.” #smallbusiness #nasa

Earlier this month Katalyst presented at the Arizona Space Business Roundtable, a UArizona Research, Innovation & Impact organization which brings together space professionals in Arizona for a monthly discussion. Attendees gathered at the historic Lowell Observatory for the first roundtable event hosted in Flagstaff. At the event, our CEO, Ghonhee Lee, presented three key insights on the current space environment: 1️⃣ Innovation vs. Programs of Record - The innovation paradox reveals conflicting forces in government as innovation offices lack funding for the cutting-edge technologies they hope to develop while the strict requirements of securely funded programs of record impede the adoption of new capabilities. 2️⃣ Strategic needs of the space industry are misaligned with venture capital incentives - VCs often gravitate towards business models with proven viability. Meanwhile, the space industry is undergoing a transformative shift as it seeks to address strategic needs. As novel business models are emerging from this rapidly changing sector, VCs are hesitant to jump on board. 3️⃣ The promise of the New Space economy - The transition from a predominantly launch-centric model to in-space services, such as upgrades, is gaining momentum. This shift promises to invigorate the space economy, paving the way for novel tech development and employment opportunities. We loved seeing the turnout from UArizona Research, Innovation & Impact, Arizona Commerce Authority, Lowell Observatory, and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, among others. Thank you, Stephen Fleming and Gerard van Belle, for hosting! We look forward to participating in future roundtable events. #AZspacebusinessroundtable #newspace #inspaceservicing #ISAM #spaceindustry #inspaceupgrades #startups

India and France have built up a strategic relationship over the decades, and technological cooperation between the two countries has since the very beginning built the tools of a nation's sovereignty, such as combat aircraft, submarines and space. The emergence of #Newspace in France and Europe, and the Indian government's decision to open up space to the private sector, has brought the two start-ups Skyroot Aerospace and PROMÉTHÉE Earth Intelligence closer together. GIFAS - Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales CNES HEMERIA COMAT Capgemini CS GROUP
India and France have been cooperating for decades on numerous space projects: launcher engines, earth observation, science, etc. an effective partnership based on trust of leaders and on the quality of the teams. convinced that this cooperation will develop on many subjects and will include startups, research labs and large industrial group, I thank the president of Skyroot Aerospace for his enthusiastic paper. https://lnkd.in/gCZRUAPV
