๐ค Texas's labor market continues to impress, as evidenced by the September 2023 State Job Openings and Labor Turnover (JOLTS) report, which presents some remarkable statistics: ๐ Job Openings in the Lone Star State reached an impressive 809K, marking a substantial increase of 35K. This abundance of opportunities underscores the strength of Texas's thriving economy. ๐คNew Hires surged to 612K, showcasing a remarkable growth of 86K, a testament to the state's robust labor force. ๐ชThe state's Net Jobs rose to a significant +51K, highlighting a thriving and expanding job market. โจParticularly noteworthy is the surge in Quits (Voluntary Separations), reaching 410K and surging by 37K. TEN STRAIGHT MONTHS: Texas added another 41,000+ jobs last month, marking the TENTH consecutive month of job growth, according to the Texas Workforce Commission. Since this time last year, Texas has added a whopping 316,000 jobs, which is a significant portion of the nation's job growth. Most of the jobs that were added were in the leisure, hospitality, transportation, and construction sectors. But the craziest statistic in this entire report is that despite this HISTORIC JOB GROWTH in Texas, the unemployment rate is actually worse than it was a year ago. At first glance, that might seem like a bad thing, but the truth is: that's just a spotlight on HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE ARE COMING TO TEXAS!!! The workforce is growing so fast that even historic levels of job creation can't keep up! This is your opportunity to strike NOW while the iron is hot! Start your investment journey in Texas today! ๐ค Curious. Whatโs your reaction to this research in an article shared recently by Mary Olsen on LinkedIn? โHigh-paying job positions in Utah receive an average of 34.9 applications per job post.โ When I read this headline, my first question was, โWhy in the heck would you want that many applications?" ๐คทโ๏ธ Lol! Every time I post a job, my goal is to receive at most ๐, but ideally 5๏ธโฃ or less. I do not want to waste my time combing through resumes and reaching out to candidates who wonโt return my request for a phone interview. I only want to speak to candidates who have the potential to be a unicorn that poops rainbows. ๐ But what qualifies someone for this status? Stay tuned for my definition in my Thursday post. ๐ In the meantime, please feel free to share your questions and/or frustrations with receiving applications for a job post below. I would love to hear from you! ๐ป #jobposting #recruitment #interview #jobapplication #unicorns #bestemployees https://lnkd.in/g-yvS6uM
