Teamwork makes the dream work in the Oakland Parts department! Known for their exceptional customer service, Oakland frequently goes above and beyond to meet customers' needs, whether by staying open late or finding creative ways to get parts to customers after hours. This dedication has built a strong reputation for customer service and a loyal customer base. That customer base is primarily the local repair shops who visit almost daily. It’s not uncommon when you enter the Oakland Parts department to be welcomed like a friend, often greeted by name. At the helm is Julie Sandoval, Oakland’s Parts Manager, has been with TEC Equipment for over 19 years. Like Julie, many team members in the department have been promoted from within. Having experienced each other’s roles fosters a collaborative environment where issues are resolved together without blame. It also means there are plenty of teammates to support all the moving pieces involved in each customer transaction The TEC entrepreneurial spirit shines bright in Oakland. Julie shares, “We work by the mantra, ‘don’t be afraid to try new things,’ a piece of advice David Thompson gave me when I was first promoted.” The outside salespeople and countermen have influence on new products and promotions. They know their customers' needs best and strive to bring in what customers are asking for. Afterall you can’t sell what you don’t have!
