Which of these key traits does your company value more? Assessing many companies is an honour, and I love doing it. 🌟 I've come to realise that the businesses that really fly are the ones that demonstrate two key attributes. No, it's not tech skills. And, of course, strong revenue is a given. The attributes are: Learning 📚 Learning is a given for start-ups, but it's also crucial for scaling and more established businesses. One company stood out because everyone wanted to learn, way beyond the limits of their roles. Speaking to them was a delight because they were so motivated and interested. This attitude came from the CEO down to the most junior person in the team. Humility 🤝 These firms appeared different from your standard 'disrupters.' Their teams partnered with their suppliers and customers, keeping everyone even. Low ego, won't build everything themselves and strong ability to be present for others. Compare this with a closed, defensive firm that's nice to customers (to their face) but difficult internally. It's hard not to miss that 'Frankenstein' model. As I look back on the myriad of insights gathered from my gurus and personal experiences, this World Entrepreneurs' Day feels profoundly enlightening. Move swiftly, and adjust on the fly.

 * A Verbal Promise: In the world of business, your word should be as binding as any contract. Trust and reliability are cornerstones of long-lasting relationships.
 * Embrace Failure: Every setback is not an endpoint but a lesson in disguise. Learn, pivot, and march ahead.
 * Collaboration Over Competition: While competition might push us, it's through collaboration that we truly evolve and leave a lasting impact.
 * Give Back: Entrepreneurship goes beyond business—it's about contributing, giving back, and ensuring we leave a positive footprint.

Recently, I came across a compelling dialogue in the movie "Tiger 3" that deeply resonated with me. It goes, "Bure waqt zara adab se pesh aa, waqt nahi lagta waqt badlne mein," which translates to " bad times treat me with respect, it doesn’t take long for times to change." Inspired, I added my own twist: "Ache waqt ghamand mat kar, kyunki waqt nahi lagta waqt badalne mein," meaning "Don’t be arrogant in good times, because it doesn’t take long for times to change." This dialogue beautifully parallels the journey of entrepreneurship. In this rollercoaster ride, where the highs are ecstatic and the lows are daunting, the key is to maintain humility and resilience. 1. Respect the Bad Times: Every entrepreneur knows the sting of setbacks. But these challenges are not just obstacles; they are opportunities to learn, grow, and innovate. Respecting these times means acknowledging their value in shaping a more resilient and wise business leader. 2. Don't Rest on Your Laurels:Success can be intoxicating, but it's crucial to remember that the market is always shifting. Today's innovation can quickly become tomorrow's outdated idea. Continual learning, humility, and the willingness to evolve are the cornerstones of sustained success. 3. Time Waits for No One:The only constant in business, as in life, is change. Over time, I realized embracing imperfection and moving forward is crucial. ❤️🩹 Perfection is subjective and often unattainable. Put yourself out there, even if things aren’t flawless. Prioritizing tasks is a daily challenge. 🥷 Documenting data and findings meticulously is vital. Understand the context fully before making decisions. If something seems urgent, take a moment to breathe. 🫁 Most of us aren’t making life-or-death decisions, so take those seconds to breathe and think 🧘♀️. Connecting with knowledgeable and experienced people has been crucial for me. Learning from those who have already walked your path, or who are experts in new areas, is essential for growth.
