If you really want interoperability between #hospitals, there is nothing like installing the same PAS/EPR across all of them. Unfortunately, PAS/EPR migrations are rarely seamless. We constantly meet trusts who are struggling with #planning and #reporting months - even years – after the change, because so much historical #data is lost or inconsistent. It is crucial to plan for business continuity right from the start, and Insource Ltd have long experience of delivering continuity of secondary use data. We are even supporting trusts through their second PAS/EPR #migration. So, if you're planning to replace your #PAS or #EPR, then get in touch and one of our experts will be happy to speak to you - https://lnkd.in/ejP99zNN #datamanagement #NHS #healthcare Sam Elliott Rob Davenport Tim Eltze Graham Bennett Nadine Carey-Whitehead Karen Hyde Paige Elizabeth Hyde Greg Stevens Rachel Lane Adrian Owen https://lnkd.in/e7Vs7Zxw

The HL7® FHIR® (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources 1 ) standard defines how healthcare information can be exchanged between different computer systems regardless of how it is stored in those systems. It allows healthcare information, including clinical and administrative data, to be available securely to those who need to access it, and to those who have the right to do so for the benefit of a patient receiving care. The standards development organization HL7® (Health Level Seven®3 ) uses a collaborative approach to develop and upgrade FHIR.
