"Duniya jeetne waloon ko salam karti hai" means the world salutes those who conquer."
I asked my son Daksh Arora, if we would still welcome Team India in the same way if they hadn't won the World Cup. He said, "Obviously not. The welcome is because we won the World Cup. Then I asked him if one person alone could make Team India win . He replied, "No," and explained how it was the team working together that led to India's victory.
I'm not a cricket fan, nor do I actively watch cricket, but this conversation made me think about the importance of teamwork. Alone we are 1 together we are 1+1 =11
Teamwork is crucial in any project or business, and cricket is no exception. While individual brilliance can shine, it is the team effort that ultimately wins matches. Here are key reasons why teamwork is essential for winning, especially in the #2024 #World#Cup:
1.Complementary Skills: Cricket teams consist of diverse roles—batsmen, bowlers, fielders, and all-rounders. Effective teamwork leverages these varied abilities, creating a versatile team.
2.Strategic Planning: Successful teams develop and execute strategies through coordinated efforts, such as setting field placements, planning batting orders, and devising bowling plans. Teamwork ensures everyone is aligned and can adapt to changing game situations.
3.Building Momentum: Cricket's momentum can shift rapidly. Teams that support each other are better equipped to capitalize on opportunities and recover from setbacks, maintaining focus and composure.
4.Communication: Clear communication is vital for making quick decisions, like running between the wickets, adjusting field placements, and responding to opposition tactics.
Learnings what WhatsApp forward told me :
1. Class is permanent, even if it doesn’t work a few times.. Peaks at the right time - Virat Kohli
2. When a leader leads from the front, and if fails once in a while - entire team comes together to cover up - Rohit Sharma
3. It’s not over till you think it’s over - India team even after SA needed Run a ball
30 of 30.
4. You can bounce back from the lowest unimaginable lows (even if the entire world is against you) - Hardik Pandya
5. Hardwork and Humility pays off - even if it hasn’t for decades - Rahu Dravid
6. Consistency pays off eventually - Jasprit Bumrah
7. There is a point in life which comes for most people from where getting up/getting back seems impossible.. sheer will and determination gets you back - Rishab Pant
8. Losses at a big stage are possible as important is the comeback - India team after t50 World Cup to winning the t20 World Cup..
9. Nothing is above team work, ultimately every single individuals contribution matters -
#INDIA#TEAM (everyone contributed in their own way at some point in the tournament).
10. At times the smallest contribution can be the biggest in the game (even of life) - Surya’s catch

Jay Shah, certainly, a master minded in terms of generating revenue. This parade, then trophy show casing in Wankhede stadium, thus seeking attention of millions.
The agenda is clear that cricket is money making machine in India; Indeed it’s a religion in India. Such propaganda makes sure that the Indian people’s liking or rather i should following of cricket should not lessen by 0.01%
I am happy that India won world cup. However, such parade and other stuff is nothing but strategy to keep hype for the cricket intact. I wish such love and attention other sports would have had received in India.

This poll is inspired by an article that I read about the upcoming World Cup in Ahmedabad. Surprisingly nobody chose the option of staying at the hospital, and I know, while the option might seem bizarre to many, there's a compelling reason behind putting it out there. Cricket fans are getting creative with their accommodations as excitement mounts for the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. With hotel prices surging by 10-20% and rooms getting sold out, fans are now booking hospital rooms, cleverly utilizing full-body check-ups and overnight stays.
This situation underscores a remarkable trait of consumers – their problem-solving ingenuity. When faced with challenges, they don their solution-oriented hats and find innovative ways to adapt and thrive. They demonstrate intelligence, adaptability, and unwavering focus. It's a testament to human resilience and resourcefulness, especially in the face of their passion for the game.
Well, the 2023 ODI World Cup promises not only thrilling matches but also a fascinating glimpse into fans' craze, determination, and creativity.

We were not in favour of bringing either #RohitSharma or #ViratKohli back into the #T20 scheme of things, but, the #Indian selectors were left with no other choice.
Even if there is the need to build a new team, experience always comes in handy. With the ICC T20 World Cup a few months away, the Indian Cricket Team cannot afford taking chances with players as there is no more T20 international game left after the #Afghanistan series.
We're never quite sure of #HardikPandya's fitness. Ever since that injury he sustained in #Dubai in September 2018, he hasn't been consistent for the national team. Handing him captaincy in this format is also ill-advised, looking at his track record when it comes to availability per match.
#JaspritBumrah is a great option as captain! But, the last thing India want is for him to overdo things and break down, fitness-wise. Captaincy is going to put more load on him, mentally. That better be avoided at this stage as it's wiser to let him concentrate on his bowling, which has to come good, come June.
The same can be said of #SuryakumarYadav, who is India's best T20 batter at the minute, by far! He better be let to focus on his batting, so as to win the side more and more matches in the #US and in the #Caribbean. Captaincy can wait for him.
Had this T20 World Cup not been this early, a few more experiments could be done. Now, it's better to stabilize the squad as much as possible with the right mix of youth and experience. But, the talking point will definitely be Rohit's fielding.
Whether the #Hitman, with his fitness, is able to move swiftly across the turf or not, match in, match out, is the thing to see when run saving becomes essential.

IPL is a strong reason why Team India won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
I am sure you'd agree our dominance at the international level has to do with the rise of IPL. It has given a platform to several young players like Shivam Dube, Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Just look at the revenue of the IPL teams in one season. On an average, they did a revenue of 307 Cr. What is also surprising that Delhi Capitals earned more revenue than Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2023!
Cricket's status as a religion in our country makes it a great time for businesses to grow. Brands allocate huge marketing budgets to sponsor IPL teams and run advertisements between matches.
The scale of the IPL makes it super compelling and competitive. Hence, we see a lot of talent performing at their best and raising the average baseline of cricket in our country.
What are your thoughts?

Biggest appreciation to India, for winning the #T20 World Cup on June 29th, 2024. What a triumph! This victory, India’s first after more than a decade of heartbreak in knockout matches, is a testament to the resilience and spirit of our precious team, the best team across all format since the last 10 years.
From setbacks to glory, India’s T20 World Cup win teaches us invaluable #lessons in #teamwork, #adaptability, and #resilience:
1. Clarity of Roles: hats off to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Coach and the captain to pick the right team with clarity of roles which is so important for desired results
2. Resilience and Adaptability: the team overcame challenges with flexibility, proving the importance of resilience in varying conditions.
3. Process - Preparation is Key: extensive preparation and strategic planning laid the foundation for their victory, showcasing the value of thorough groundwork.
4. Risk Taking and Unpredictability: taking risks even under challenging conditions and embracing the unexpected helped the team maintain composure under pressure.
5. Pressure Makes Perfect: the final highlighted the importance of handling stress, demonstrating the need for composure in high-stakes situations.
6. Collective Brilliance: the win was a collective effort, reinforcing that success comes from a cohesive team working together.
7. Celebrating the Journey: the players’ tears symbolized resilience and the culmination of a shared journey, resonating deeply with fans.
8. Leading from the Front: last but the most important, the way Rohit led the team and the way he attacked the opposition teams from the word go set the right momentum for the team
India’s T20 World Cup victory is a powerful reminder of the importance of learning from setbacks, adapting to challenges, preparing thoroughly, embracing the unexpected, managing pressure, and the magic of teamwork. Their journey serves as an inspiration, demonstrating that with resilience, adaptability, and collective effort, extraordinary achievements are within reach.
Once again, the victory is ours; and there are many more in future. 🏆

The Cricket World Cup finals was not what I had imagined (or hoped) it would be. Australia was definitely the better team on the field yesterday. Set me thinking though - what a glorious journey India had to the finals - can the Indian team really be defined by this one moment in its journey? Is a loss permanent? Or just another milestone in a journey? Does a loss in a World Cup final make this current team any less fabulous than it is?
Discussing this with friends and family post match, got me drawing parallels with the road our team at Finolex Industries Ltd has traversed over the last year. Notching highs like the new fittings plant that has added muscle to our product offering, the Great Place To Work recognition, the fantastic response to our new ‘Peediyan Badlengi, Pipes Nahin’ brand campaign, the sales conference with Virendra Sehwag inspiring us with his thoughts, the Award in New York for our CSR, Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) celebrating 25 years, and the camaraderie amongst the Parivar members I witnessed during the Dussehra celebration . The Give with Dignity Drive with MMF, in its third year, has made Diwali special for 8000 families across 8 states. All of this has been the magic of this team. They have been pulling off the impossible, time and again. Along with a few disappointments too. No two days have been the same.
Like every year, this financial year too, we have set ourselves aggressive targets to grow our market share. We might achieve the ambitious targets we set. Or we might not. But just to see the team come together to support each other is amazing. Manufacturing and supply chain supporting sales to fulfill their promises and build credibility. IT and accounts being the strong backbone that they are. HR recruiting talented professionals & bringing them altogether to work as one. Supplier, vendors & channel partners sharing in our enthusiasm. Seniors with ready advice, mentoring the teams. Rolling up their sleeves and pitching in when required. Pulling us up the steep learning curve.
I see this happening all around me. At Finolex. At Mukul Madhav Foundation. At One Less by my sister, Hansika. People at every level coming together, united by a common purpose. Whether they achieve what they set out to, or not. Whether they win their personal World Cup finals, or not. Whatever the result, it won't be the end of their journey. They will continue to strive to put in the hard work and keep that fire in their belly burning. Not letting a defeat keep them down, or a victory go to their head. Continuing to be a fabulous team. Like our current Indian cricket team.
