Such a simple and clear image! For many clients, strategy is often intimidating and "the CEO's job right?". Actually, strategic leadership should live throughout an organization. Yet not enough focus is given to strategic acting and influencing. I'm not surprised: that's where the heavy lifting comes in. This work requires determination to keep the course. To see if you are acting strategically, start by asking this simple question: how is my team's aligned to the organization's vision and strategy. If you cannot make the connection, you need to pause to review. #leadershipdevelopment #coaching #emergingwomenleaders Photo credit (with thanks): Modified after Center for Creative Leadership 2016 by Margaret Beaton from #beatonexecutivecoaching.

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate - C.G. Jung Leaders are often skilled at creating awareness after the fact. They do a "post mortem" in order to evaluate outcomes and devise corrective action and new strategies for responding to similar circumstances in the future. And although necessary and effective for its purpose, there is more value in creating awareness in the moment. It allows leaders and their organizations to achieve significant learning and performance as they anticipate challenges and direct their actions instead of relying on hindsight being 20/20. How could increasing your awareness help you improve your leadership performance? #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipcoaching #executivecoaching #management #humanresources

'Capable individuals' Looking across your team, who are the movers and shakers? Who are the people who you can rely on to really get things done and who always deliver? Do you rely on them too much? If so, is that fair? What about the others? What are you doing to bring them on and build their skillset? Try and avoid a 'two tier team' at all costs, as this will eventually breed resentment. And if that develops, that's a far bigger problem for you to deal with! ♻️ Reshare if you enjoyed reading this. 📌 Join other leaders by subscribing to my newsletter: https://buff.ly/4cvHkl0 #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #teambuilding #productivity #executivecoaching #coaching

Your 360 review came back, and your top piece of feedback was, “You need to learn how to delegate more and micromanage less.” Easy enough, right? Just become “more trusting” and delegate! The problem is that this feedback only focuses on one part of the delegation equation, which is the delegator. Effective delegation acknowledges the other part of the equation – the people you delegate to and whether they have the skills/wherewithall/experience/authority to take on the work effectively. Use the guide below as a framework for how to handle BOTH sides of the equation, so you can “delegate to elevate.” #delegation #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #teambuilding

Leadership has a lot of basis inside of emotional intelligence. An individual who is a gifted communicator. One who truly listens with intentionality and seeks to understand. When you have conversations with co-workers, managers, or even your employees make sure you put a huge priority for these disciplines. The difference it will make will yield huge rewards. People don’t work towards excellence because of feeling threatened or consequences. Motivation toward excellence is found in feeling inspired and free to perform at their very highest levels because they were encouraged to be the best version of themselves. #leadershipdevelopment #leadership #emotionalintelligence
