The Benzinga Future of Digital Assets Conference was centered around the future of financial utility with blockchain technology. Ranging from institutional initiatives to DeFi and NFTs, the conference was able to highlight much of the breakthroughs and excitement around real world assets on chain. With speakers from top asset management firms, SEC and FINRA regulated entities, and world renowned technology builders, the conference created a diverse conversation around digital assets and a financial future. My panel specifically focused on the tokenization of real world assets and the rails being built to improve efficiency, transparency, and liquidity around digital securities. I had the pleasure of moderating a superstar panel with Jamie H. Finn from Securitize, Herwig Konings 🌴 from Security Token Group, Nadav Moskovitch from INX, and Mitchell DiRaimondo from SteelWave. CCIP I think is a critical component in providing liquidity. Sergey Nazarov, Co-founder of Chainlink, emphasized the significance of CCIP in enabling on-chain capital markets during his interview at Sibos 2023. He stressed the pivotal role of CCIP in providing liquidity and establishing viable markets for bank-created assets. According to Nazarov, banks are increasingly recognizing the importance of ensuring liquidity for their assets. Simply creating assets on their own chains may not suffice if there's no market demand or liquidity. Without liquidity and a thriving market, the purpose behind creating the asset and the chain itself becomes questionable. Therefore, Nazarov emphasized that it's not just about creating assets, but rather about facilitating their sale and distribution to users across various chains.
