It should come as no surprise to anyone that I am bullish on the power of community to drive a product’s success.
From adoption to growth, an effective community engagement strategy is so important.
One simple tactic that goes a long way: social validation.
At Reddit, people were incentivized to post more frequently and focus on quality by our upvoting system. The more valuable the post, the more upvotes it got, which awarded the submitter with Karma points.
I recently noticed that EarlyBird, a 776 portfolio company, launched their “Legacy Leaderboard”, highlighting the 10 most active parents from the month prior.
It’s little things like this that can go a long way to motivating your most passionate user base.
Everyone loves a leaderboard, especially if they’re on it!
What examples do you have of products that encourage community participation effectively?
And for the parents out there, check out EarlyBird to see what I’m talking about. It’s a fantastic way to create a time capsule for your kids that lasts a lifetime. https://lnkd.in/e4iScYa7
