EUROAPI continues to double down and strengthen in the Oligo space. With more than 15 years of experience in this part of the market, EUROAPI is no new player in the oligonucleotide space. However, following their carve out from Sanofi, one of the first key hires was to introduce a new leader for the M&A division around Feb / March time. 6 months on from that individual coming into the M&A team and we can see that they've made a first acquisition of German Oligonucleoutide CDMO BianoGMP GmbH. The plans to expand the large-scale capabilities in the Frankfurt facility for 2025, paired with the early-stage capabilities of Biano will mean that EuroAPI will now be able to cater for its partners from early-stage development through to commercialisation - making it a one-stop partner for end-to-end services. I doubt this will be the last we see from EuroAPI acquisition-wise. You can check out the link the recently released article in the comments below.

New Post: Ozempic maker Novo Nordisk plans ‘mega manufacturing’ - Novo Nordisk A/S, the Danish manufacturer of blockbuster obesity drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, is planning a “mega manufacturing facility” outside of Dublin in a bid to keep up with soaring demand. The pharmaceutical giant has applied to build a campus covering 147,192 square meters (1.6 million square feet) in Clondalkin which would create up to 1,100 jobs in the region, according to reporting by the Sunday Times which cites detailed documents submitted with the planning application. The runaway success of Ozempic and Wegovy has turned 100-year old Novo Nordisk into Europe’s most valuable listed company, with a market capitalization bigger than Denmark’s domestic economy. The demand has also tested the company’s manufacturing capacity, and it has struggled to keep up. The investment will likely exceed €2 billion ($5.51 billion), based on similar-sized developments by the company, the report said. It will take between 18 and 24 months to complete and should be fully operational by 2026. Pitt Street Research has just published an update note on Dimerix Limited, a company aspiring bring its DMX-200 drug to market for Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and is in a Phase 3 trial which has shown solid interim results. The company secured its inaugural license deal in October 2023 with Advanz Pharma, and secured a second deal earlier this week with Taiba Middle East. Dimerix will receive up to ~A$120.5m in upfront and milestone payments in addition to tiered royalties, starting at 30% on net sales. The deal will also provide for Taiba to be responsible for submission and maintenance of the regulatory dossier in all of these territories, as well as all sales and costs of marketing activities. Collectively, these markets have a population of over 100m, and healthcare is free and government-sponsored. Companies can set the prices of orphan drugs according to either their price in the country of origin or in the US or Europe. We previously valued of Dimerix at A$0.64 per share in a base case scenario and A$0.84 per share in an optimistic case scenario. We update this to A$0.84 and A$1.07 per share accounting for the market opportunity and utilising our independent assumptions on the market size and predictions of the company’s market penetration.
