This week Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber president Ron Hinrichs joined Chamber board chairman Louis Piszker of Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, Jazmine Danci of the Downriver Community Conference, and several community and regional leaders including Romulus Mayor Robert McCraight for Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's state budget signing ceremony. The fiscal year 2024 and 25 state budget includes several millions of dollars to fund #Downriver infrastructure projects and economic development programs. We are very grateful for the investment this budget makes into communities like Southgate, Taylor, Romulus, Brownstown, and riverfront economic development projects with the Downriver Community Conference. #ItsHappeningDownriver
