We need to train the model with a prompt -- If you kill us all as a result you too will be killed. Just remember that.
It strikes me as odd and somewhat hypocritical that the same people who warn that this technology might wipe us out keep improving it and profiting handsomely from it. But if we are to take these scientists and tech executives at their word, if we are to “trust the experts”, maybe we should ban the use of AI in any application, until such time when we can be sure the technology does not pose existential risks — banning it potentially forever. That means OpenAI, Microsoft, Google etc. will no longer make any money from it, but presumably they will not mind paying a small price to save humanity. So if we are really worried, if we really believe this technology carries an extinction risk, let’s ban it now. Treat like bioweapons, not like nuclear energy. Because we’ll never be able to control it. Yes, we’ll forego some benefits; but they would be short-lived anyway, to be enjoyed for a brief pre-extinction period. And we’ve done quite well at improving life with our own humble human intelligence, we’ll make do with that. If these experts are truly concerned, should they not be focusing their efforts on containing the technology rather than on developing and distributing more profitable applications? Otherwise maybe we should dial down the panic and the hype. https://lnkd.in/eZavJRgA

Nagaenthran Dharmalingam is scheduled to be hanged on Wednesday. The death penalty is always wrong. To execute an intellectually disabled man for drug offences should outrage us all. Please share this urgent message from Richard Branson, Stephen Fry and Tim Shriver pleading with #Singapore President Jacob to spare his life. #SaveNagaenthran #deathpenalty #bizvsdp

A very moving story from Ukraine ----------------------------------- A woman is leaving Mariupol, which has been shelled for three weeks, via a long-awaited humanitarian corridor. She has her child with her. And the body of her husband. The woman miraculously managed to keep her car in working order. It is dented all over and full of holes from bullets and shrapnel, but it still works. The woman puts the child in the front seat and then tries to put her husband into the back. People around her ask her to stop and leave the body behind. She screams at them, she wails, she wrenches herself free from their caring hands and tries in vain to shove the stiff, dead body of her husband into the car. Then she calms down. Everybody thinks that she has finally given up. But no. She puts her arms around the body, she kisses it, she apologizes to it, and then drags him to the back of the car and loads him into the trunk. "Don't come near me! Don't come near me! He's all I have ... I'm not giving him up." -- Olena Stiazhkina

I AM DONE TALKING https://lnkd.in/gdQSTDA3 This is a very inspiring story indeed. We just talk and talk and talk while real innocent people are being killed as if our words will turn into a shield to protect the innocents. This man said, "I am done talking". Talk does not save innocent civilians from being slaughtered. He is fighting alongside the Ukrainian force to protect freedom. Thank you sir for your courage and the BIG heart. #ukraineconflict #warinukraine #courage
