Director, Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office, U.S. Department of Energy; and DOE Hydrogen Program Coordinator
Join us (starting Monday May 6, 1 pm) for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Hydrogen Annual Merit Review (AMR) in Alexandria, VA, along with ~1,000 stakeholders in person! The plenary includes Deputy Secretary David Turk and a panel with Hydrogen Interagency Task Force members from SBA, DOT PHMSA, USDA, DOC: Dilawar Syed, Tristan Brown, Betsy Dirksen Londrigan, and Grant Harris. Alejandro Moreno will provide remarks on Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), U.S. Department of Energy perspectives. Thrilled to also have Shalanda Baker to highlight the importance of environmental justice in the clean #hydrogen economy. I will give an overview along with my office members from the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO) and from other offices and agencies. Exciting announcements and updates planned starting1 PM Monday May 6! Click below to register and view agenda. https://lnkd.in/eh7xcGjV
Dear Sunita, I met you in person for the first time nearly 10 years ago, at a San Francisco hosted Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Conference - exactly 10 years after my company’s (a QE Award Winning Auto Industry Tier I Supplier) breakthrough achievements in “fuel cells (PEMFC, SOFC, DMFC, DEFC) engineered for low cost mass-production” and positioned to enable the “clean and efficient use of all hydrogen rich fuels”(incorporating or coupled with on-demand H2 production). Said developments had allready been reviewed and endorsed by Los Alamos National Lab (Dr. Nick Vanderborgh’s team) and your predecessors: Pundit Patel, Steve Chuck, etc. So here are my questions: -Why is DOE acting as if such developments didn’t take place? -Why did Secretary Chu (under the Obama administration) “pull the plug” on MICRO-SCALE FUEL REFORMING DEVELOPMENTS & ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS when in fact, FUEL CELLS INCORPORATING (or coupled with) ON-DEMAND H2 PRODUCTION eliminate the need for the currently proposed, cost prohibitive, uneconomic and resource wasteful CENTRALIZED HYDROGEN PRODUCTION, TRANSPORT & FUELING INFRASTRUCTURE? -Is it because this is what can pave the way to lowest cost, electric grid autonomous/decentralized energy production/propulsion? 🤔
Hello Emanuel, You were the principal operations manager when I worked with Jeff Serfass at Technology Transition Corp (TTC) to start National Hydrogen Association (NHA) in 1989. You made NHA a successful organization for hydrogen technology. You were also very helpful to start the California Hydrogen Business Council (CHBC). I wish you success in your future endeavors to carry the hydrogen flag and move it forward.
Hello Sunita, You have been a patient leader for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies for more than three decades. I was fortunate to start the National Hydrogen Association (NHA) in 1989 when I was at EPRI. I had the pleasure of working with you, Pinakin Patel, Jeff Serfass and many other leaders to move hydrogen forward every year. I wish this decade will make a huge impact under your excellent leadership. I am sure it will show at the upcoming AMR next week.

Have a great AMR Sunita.
Great days ! Sunita Satyapal
A kind of energy mechanism is with my research project .Thereby it is very easy to produce current as same as mini hydal Power plant with negligible input.
2moThe transmission option Hydrogen has depended on the sources like Sun ☀️and Wind 🌬energies can be ceased soon due to their dumping the land 🌎scape in multi millions of hectors. The entire Renewable energy production mechanism can collapse very soon. Because of its prevention the Sun ☀️rays to Earth which causes the photosynthesis what the human race and other biological living organism depended on to survive.
