No shocking story as such ... I repeatedly hear about dysfunction in medical teams. However, a question which pops up in medical interviews might be "Tell us about a dysfunctional team you've worked in." How would you answer that? Would you know how to balance a sensitive question which demonstrates your skills of diplomacy and tact? Interviews will often have such curve-ball questions which you may not think of practicing in your standard interview preparation. The purpose of this pilot study was to examine whether a targeted motivational interview, focused on evidence-based recommendations to manage postoperative symptoms related to thoracolumbar spine surgery, would improve patient confidence with self-care management of their symptom-related disability.

Asalaamu Alaykum   The more difficult conversations you have, that more successful you will become!   The number of difficult conversations you have had is directly linked to how successful you can become.   Your desired state is beyond a few difficult conversations.
