Like u have a surcharge during rains, use the same to desist people from ordering..I feel Zomato is just trying a PR stunt to show their concern...it's an advt ploy
Zomato Is that true ? This delivery is earning 1 lakh in a month? I found this on YouTube (maybe a fake paid promotion) and Amaze to see how your delivery partners are earning such figures.👌 #zomatoindia#deliveryjobs
Ideas for Zomato/Swiggy/Zepto to increase the earnings of delivery boys:
4. Tips (₹10-₹50).
3. Surge pay during rain and peak hours (₹35-₹75).
2. Life lessons from the delivery partner posted on LinkedIn charge (₹100).
1. Photo with the delivery boy, showing you giving a water bottle with the caption "I have done my part" charge (₹250).
Zomato can potentially boost its revenue by up to Rs. 70 crores merely by increasing Rs. 1.
Zomato’s platform fee just rose from Rs. 2 to Rs. 3. If you carefully examine the numbers, a one-rupee increase may not seem like much, but you'll be surprised at how much of an impact it will have on Zomato's yearly statement.
💹 Gross Order Value (Q1FY24) = ₹ 7318 Crores
💸 Gross Order Value per month = 7318/3 = ₹ 7318 Crores
💸 Average Order Value ≈ ₹ 418
🍔 Total orders per month = 7318 Cr/418 = ₹ 5.83 Cr
💰 Increase in platform fee = ₹ 1
🤑 Potential Additional income per month = ₹ 5.83 Cr
🤑 Potential Additional income per year ≈ ₹ 70 Cr
This additional income is only attainable because of the enormous volume of orders.

Great thoughts Shantanu Deshpande. I agree with you !!
Further, what can be done:
1. Shelters can be built for them at a focal point where the delivery person can rest when they have no orders to pick up.
2. The app can mention the delivery time a bit high (just 10 - 15 mins) so that the delivery partner does not have to rush to the delivery location while beating the heat waves.
Let's be humble and support where required.

People in NCR - Please please
1. schedule your Zomato/Swiggu/Blinkit/Zepto/Instamart orders before 10 am or after 6 pm as much as possible. Especially plan your lunch. Its ok to order early and heat later.
2. Give all delivery executives a glass of water/juice and let them sit and take a breather in your home or office under the fan/cooler/AC.
Its brutal outside.
Business and consumption goes on but please make it slightly easier.
I appreciate these thoughts but would like to add more feasible alternatives like
1. Don't make them wait outside to deliver your order, plan to receive it timely by tracking on App
2. Order from closer restaurants, avoid long distance one for some days
3. Some Apps provide choice to club your order with other orders, please choose that (delivery partners can complete more orders in less time)

Illogical cancellation Fee charged by Zomato.
Hi Zomato,
Could you explain why you are charging a cancellation fee if the customer cancels the order within 2-3 minutes of placing it?
If an order is cancelled for the following reasons –
1- If the order was cancelled within 3-5 minutes because the delivery time increased from 30 minutes to 65 minutes.
2- If an order is cancelled because the customer ordered from a different source because the order time has increased by more than 20-30 minutes.
3- If the order is cancelled within 5 minutes of being placed against a ready-made product.
If the customer is not liable then why should pay for that?

It is good to see that Zomato has given a emotional touch to increase the tip of delivery person.
But the thing is only once per year delivery person can get those tips (on birthday)
Instead of tipping only on delivery person's birthday, we can randomize the days when person's can tip.
For example: Offering a "Tip tuesday" or "tipping thursday". Or something like that can increase the tipping amount to the delivery persons throughout the year.
Another one possible way is "Introducing tipping percentage"
Instead of fixed tip amount, we can implement a tipping percentage based on the order value.
For example: If the order value is 500rs and tip percentage is 5 percent...delivery person will get 25rs as tip.
These cases will ensure delivery persons are rewarded for their efforts!
These small things may create a positive impact! ❤️✨

Here's an example of an irresistible offer...
And it's not what you think it is!!!
It's actually Zomato's mini gold ...
They launched it for Rs. 29/3 months
And 1 order last night saved me delivery fees of 30+
Now that's an offer no one can so no to.
That's an irresistible offer.
P.S.: Who else uses Zomato gold?

An Interesting Observation by me!🔍
"Ever wondered how Zomato is able to bear your delivery costs? 🌯
Even in case you are having their Gold subscription, which gives you access to avail free deliveries on their orders by just putting only a few of your money to get that plan."
So here it is!🍕
While collecting my order for past few days, what caught my eye was the prevalence of electric two-wheelers and even bicycles among their delivery partners. It dawned on me – a brilliant cost-saving move, simple yet different in contributing to an eco-friendly delivery approach!
Kudos to Zomato for this smart cost saving delivery technique. 🌐🛵 #ZomatoGold
Caring for Our Delivery Executives During Heatwaves: Simple Steps to Make a Difference
To everyone in the Delhi, Mumbai and other regions facing intense heatwaves, let's take a moment to support the delivery executives who keep our lives running smoothly, even in this brutal weather. Here are a few steps we can take to make their jobs a bit easier:
1. Schedule Orders Thoughtfully : Please place your Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart orders before 10 am or after 6 pm whenever possible. Especially plan your lunch orders in advance. It’s okay to order early and reheat your food later.
2. Offer Refreshments : Whenever a delivery executive arrives, offer them a glass of water or juice. Invite them to sit and rest in your home or office under the fan, cooler, or AC for a few minutes.
3. Understand and Be Patient : Recognize that delivery times might be longer than usual due to the extreme heat. Show patience and understanding if there are delays.
4. Provide Protective Gear : If possible, keep some extra caps, cool towels.
4. Tip Generously : A little extra tip can go a long way in showing appreciation for their hard work under challenging conditions.
Business and consumption continue, but let’s make it a priority to ease the burden on those who make it possible. Share this message and encourage others to join in. Small acts of kindness can create a significant impact.
Stay safe and hydrated.
---
Feel free to share and spread the word. Together, we can make a difference. This message applies not just to those in Delhi, Mumbai but to everyone in India facing similar harsh conditions.
