How do we make a strategy real? Through the work of our great people and wonderful services. Check out how our Memory services are ‘Focusing on Excellent Care’. They are one of many examples across the Trust. Our Trust Strategy focuses on 5 pillars: 1. Focus on Excellent Care 2. Attract, Include and Retain at all levels 3. Strong Local Partnerships 4. Simple Effective Processes 5. Digitally Enabled, Data Driven
Today, we’re launching the first of our series of videos about the progress we’re making on our Trust Strategy. We’d like staff to think about how they can incorporate the Trust Strategy into their daily work and help deliver our vision of “Wellbeing for Life”. We’re delivering this ambition through our “5,4,3,2,1” model which includes five principles. The first principle is focus on excellent care - where we place our energy and how we ensure this is guided by how we best deliver excellent care. In the video below, Pauline Ujeyah, Clinical Lead for our Brent Memory Service shares how the service introduced an assessment tool that was more culturally appropriate for the patients they were seeing from diverse backgrounds. Take-aways from a powerful conversation with Dr Amy Edmondson during the UT Southwestern Medical Center Celebration of Excellence: “Psychological safety is NOT the goal, it’s an essential means” to ongoing quality ends. “Our success depends on high quality conversations” where all are actively engaged, blend advocacy and inquiry, and move toward clarity. These “high quality conversations don’t happen by accident” - frame the situation, ask good questions, respond productively. It’s all about our communication! #powerfulquestions #communicationmatters #excellenceisthestartingpoint #highreliabilityorganization #growthmindset #psychologicalsafety

Thriving Survivors Annual Conference 2023 Fri, 17 Nov | The Studio Join us for our first annual conference focussing on: How the implementation of restorative practices/approach can lead to systemic change in Scotland. Thriving Survivors are delighted to be hosting our first annual conference in Glasgow on Friday 17th November 2023. You are invited to join us as we explore how the implementation of restorative practices can lead to systemic change in Scotland. During this one-day conference, we will focus on exploring the importance of using restorative approaches beyond justice, through four key themes of which we will have a workshop on each: Trauma-informed restorative practice Restorative practice in the justice system Restorative practice in education and early intervention Restorative practice Health and social care The use of restorative approaches within the justice sector has seen a growing recognition for its success. However, through our internal developments, we came to appreciate the value of restorativeness in itself and the benefits it has outside this scope. This will take the focus of this conference, where our partners will host workshops in accordance with these themes. This will demonstrate and influence how these sectors could view and approach their work through a restorative lens. This will allow individuals to experience full, healthy and fulfilled lives, which in turn will create a prosperous and a restorative Scotland. We are delighted to welcome Prof. Judith Lewis Herman M.D as are Headline Speaker on a Live Stream on the Main Stage to close the conference. The event will kick off with an expert panel consisting of: - Ailbhe Griffith - Dr Marie Keenan - David Russell - Dr Estelle Zinsstag Throughout the conference, we will host expert pods, exhibits, and wonderful catering! Tickets and more information are available here: https://lnkd.in/gr9qeccZ #thrivingsurvivors #thrivingsurvivorsannualconference #restorativejustice #restortivepractice #changethesystem #talktotheexperts #leaders #restorativeapproaches #TraumaResponsiveScotland #RestorativeScotland #ReleasingThePotentialOfRestorativeJustice
