Great day yesterday on the panel for this AWS event on AI. Really interesting to get a read from such and interesting insightful group of people. Here are some takeaways for me that keep coming up: * We can't fall into the trap of "doing AI to things" - we need to work back from a value proposition, using the right tools for the job. * PoCs are easy(ish): deployment as a real service is very hard. * You need to get your data estate in order to do AI well: data platforms, catalogs, governance. Most Computer Vision Engineers are very familiar with traditional Computer Vision approaches, but what about Deep Learning? 🧨🧨🧨 There are 3 types of approaches that work well: Segmentation based, Anchor based, and Parameter based.
