I Transform Workplaces || HR Newbies Crusader || Building a Global Community of HR Newbies || I Help HR Newbies Start and Scale their HR Career.
My HR Newbies, Can we do some reflections? Quite alright, It's the beginning of the 2nd half of the year. But let's not forget the wins and lessons (no failures) of 1st half in a hurry. They are a build-up to consolidating the 2nd half. So, can we take a few minutes to boost our confidence by commenting on what we can consider a win or lessons learnt in the 1st half? It could be the job you got, internship position you secured, certification(s) you got, course(s) you completed, training you attended, template(s) you created, systems and structures you built, HR books you read, HR conferences/events you attended, or how you handled a situation maturely, etc. Who's going first? 😊 PS: I have a juicy announcement to make. Keep staying tuned. 😉 Always rooting for you. ❤️ #HRNewbies

During my HR internship at Dimensionless Technologies, I realized that a company’s greatest asset is its people. They're not just a team; they're a family. Treating employees like family transforms them into invaluable assets for the organization. One of the most significant lessons I learned is that employee satisfaction is a top priority for HR. In today’s ever-changing world, retaining employees is a major challenge. Trends have evolved—people no longer stay solely for the money. They stay for the work culture. If an employee leaves for a higher salary, they might return one day. But if they leave because of a poor work environment, they’re unlikely to ever come back. Throughout my internship, I involved in recruitment, payroll management, employee engagement and HR Operations. However, the most important lesson I learned is resolving employee queries with care and empathy. Making employees feel valued and heard can significantly boost their productivity and loyalty. In essence, when employees feel valued, they don't just work—they thrive. This is the true power of HR, and it’s a principle I carry with me as I continue my journey in this field. #HR #EmployeeEngagement #WorkCulture #EmployeeSatisfaction

*Advice for New HR Interns* Starting out in the HR field can be both exciting and challenging. Having been in your shoes, I wanted to share some key pieces of advice to help you navigate your journey as an HR intern: 1- Embrace Learning: Every day is a learning opportunity. Be curious and proactive in seeking knowledge. Ask questions, attend workshops, and stay updated with HR trends. 2-Build Relationships: Networking is crucial. Connect with colleagues across departments, join HR groups, and attend industry events. Strong relationships will support your growth and open up opportunities. 3-Stay Organized: HR involves juggling multiple tasks. Develop good organizational habits early on. Use tools like task managers, calendars, and notes to keep track of your responsibilities and deadlines. 4-Understand the Business: HR is not just about managing people; it’s also about understanding how the business operates. Take the time to learn about your company's goals, challenges, and industry. 5-Develop Soft Skills: Communication, empathy, and conflict resolution are vital in HR. Work on honing these skills through practice and feedback. 6-Be Adaptable: The HR landscape is constantly evolving. Be open to change and ready to adapt. Flexibility will make you more resilient and effective in your role. 7-Seek Feedback: Constructive criticism is your friend. Regularly ask for feedback from your mentors and peers, and use it to improve your performance. 8-Maintain Confidentiality: Trust is the cornerstone of HR. Always handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. 9-Stay Positive: HR can be demanding, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Keep a positive attitude, even during challenging times. Your enthusiasm will be contagious. 10-Think Long-Term: Your internship is just the beginning. Keep an eye on your career goals and work towards them step by step. Every experience, no matter how small, is a building block for your future. Welcome to the world of HR! It’s a journey filled with learning, growth, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's lives and the organization.
