In addition, a former CDA Technical instructor started a petition demanding that the school be closed immediately, a petition which more than 1,000 people had signed by the time of that report. DEEP6 Legal Christopher Martin 1. Divers competing for job opportunities. As a freelancer in this field, I can only offer a rate of $18 to $24 per hour. Additionally, I have been on a freelance list for 2 years and have invested $40k in dive school. However, it's important to note that if you have any complaints about my rates, there is a non-compete clause that restricts you from diving for 24 months. This clause aims to prevent any potential blacklisting and monopolization in the industry. 😆 🤣 😂 You will lose your 40k so dive or die... Jesus help Us 🙏 2 The issues faced by Qui Tam Whistleblowers, OSHA Whistleblowers, and unions are critical and require attention. Bypassing the NLRB process to evade adverse precedents, as seen in McLaren Macomb, poses a threat to whistleblowers' protections and rights. 3 Whistleblower protections are essential, with Qui Tam and OSHA whistleblowers playing crucial roles in uncovering fraud and ensuring workplace safety. Attorney’s fees are authorized under various statutes, emphasizing the need to support whistleblowers who report misconduct without fear of retaliation. #WhistleblowerProtection #OSHA #QuiTam #NLRB #LegalRights Students who believe their school misled them or engaged in misconduct may be eligible for federal student loan discharge through the Borrower Defense Loan Discharge program. 🛥️ Navigating Superyacht Captain References: Embracing a Comprehensive Perspective 🌊⚓ In the #superyacht world, #captains play a vital role in ensuring smooth sailing experiences, making #references an essential aspect of the hiring process. Owners, with their firsthand experience in daily operations, provide valuable insights into the service they receive. However, it's important to recognize that owners may not possess the technical expertise to evaluate all aspects of a captain's job. Their perspective, while significant, primarily focuses on the service received, which only scratches the surface of a captain's responsibilities. This prompts a thoughtful consideration: Should we broaden our evaluation beyond owner references? Seeking input from industry professionals who can assess technical aspects, along with insights from crew members and charter guests, enriches our understanding of a captain's leadership, teamwork, and guest relations skills. What positive changes or innovative approaches have you witnessed in addressing such considerations within the yachting industry? Captains, owners, recruiters, agents, managers—your perspectives are valued. Feel free to share your insights and experiences in the comments below. #SuperyachtCaptain #YachtingIndustry #ComprehensiveView #YachtOwners #CaptainHiring #LinkedInExchange

🇲🇭 Yachts Commercial Director at IRI / Marshall Islands Registry | British Superyacht Ambassador | Superyacht Industry Business & Strategy | Yacht Regulatory & Operations Specialist | Event Speaker
Great insights from Jason Wynn & Nikki Wynn about deciding on the best choice of registration for their yacht. This has an interesting US citizen slant and touches on insurance issues faced with the USCG flagged yachts outside of US waters. Eugene Samarin gives his thoughts in favor of the Marshal Islands under 24m program: 🔹 Best value 🔹 Ease of progress for registering 🔹 Safe flag (White list on Paris MOU) 🔹 No Survey for yachts under 24m 🔹 Global team (including in Fort Lauderdale) 🔹 Digital Certification (can be instantly emailed) 🔹 More financing options (than the more obscure flags) 🔹 RMI vessels can call on the US Navy for assistance 🔹 Lower rate insurance (being a reputable flag) 🔹 No extra scrutiny on arrival in foreign countries I would argue that Marshall Islands unrivaled 20 years within the USCG's Qualship 21 program would make us the highest quality flag (not CISR), but I will let this one go.... for now 😉! ⬇️Check out the video here⬇️ https://lnkd.in/ejT_Dtfv (This is not an advert for the RMI Registry or sponsored content) #RMIRegistry #RMIFleet #superyacht #superyachts #yachting #Yacht #Yachts #marineindustry #maritime

Staff Spotlight! Meet our Business Development Manager, Ash-Lea Wilkins. With her background in Public Relations working in melting pot of the hospitality and lifestyle scene of Sydney and managing high end client relationships - she was well equipped to step into the QLD construction industry with a thick skin and ability to manage many moving parts in a bigger picture. We asked her a few fun questions and here were her great responses: What is the one thing you cannot resist? Hand-made pasta 🍝 What is your greatest fear? Confined spaces / a tunnel I would have to crawl through. Eeek. Where is your favourite place to be? The beach. Where is the best place you’ve travelled to and why? Oaxaca, Mexico. Myself and my husband lived there for two years pre-kids and it was just amazing. What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had? I had a short stint selling jeans on King St in Newtown, out of a vacant shop front when I was much younger. What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this? Scuba diving instructor. Any favourite line from a movie? “I live my life a quarter-mile at a time.” – Dominic Toretto Fast and the Furious (That one is for Zac ha) Tell us something that might surprise us about you: I joined the Navy at 17. If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor? Dallas Willard or C.S Lewis. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? It would be incredible to have the skills and imagination to build things. As in, I need a new desk... then just know how to build a really nice, well designed desk. Or garden bed, or chook house.. you get the idea!

The first step is admitting you have a problem.
Apparently another one of our employees shares me affliction for photographing Hughes barges. We help busy professionals achieve their Yachtie lifestyle by passively investing in multifamily apartments. Ask us how to be a hands off investor? #apartment #multifamily #syndication #fundoffunds #SDIRA #FIRPTA
Kelly Gordon this is something that is very simple but can get very complicated in a hurry, especially if something goes wrong. Get the offer or contract in writing before proceeding. It is step one. If it is not sent to you before you fly out to join a new vessel, you have to question why? #seafarersagreement #contract #yachtie #yachtlife
The Captain’s Classroom: Sea Agreement 📝 Before you step foot on a boat to work you better have a signed contract agreement between you and the owner / management company 🚨 This kind of sounds like a no brainer, but you would be surprised on how many situations I hear where yachties screw themselves by either not fully reading their contract or even worse not having a contract at all‼️ The most recent example was in a young woman trying to get paid for her work. Excuse after excuse from the owner turned into a disaster… she never got paid… she never had a contract… 🤦♀️ Yachts operate by a unique set of rules and laws based on its flag state and current location 🛥️ To best protect yourself in ANY situation that could arise, you need to have a SIGNED contract in place 🤓 Don’t take this lightly yachtie friends, this can be the difference in you getting medical care paid for because of an injury onboard… and so so much more! 🤯 #yacht #yachting #yachtlife #yachtlifestyle #yachtcrew #yachtcrewlife #yachtcaptain #superyacht #superyachts #superyachtlife #superyachtlifestyle #superyachtcrew #superyachtcaptain #captainkellyjgordon #captainkellygordon #captainkelly #belowdeck #belowdeckcrew #belowdeckmed #captainsclassroom #thecaptainsclassroom #4marichou🌊
