The Centre's upcoming best practice corporate public advocacy module examines how corporations and organisations are identifying and empowering advocates for their strategies and issues. The program will feature a practical and hands-on examination of why and when public advocacy campaigns are appropriate, objectives, strategy and tactics; the importance of research; engaging and arming employees as organisational advocates; and engaging and arming external stakeholders as advocates. In Resource Equity in Action, a 3-part webinar series, participants will learn what it takes to develop a successful advocacy campaign for resource equity. We will begin by diving into the many ways that data can be useful in identifying resource inequities and determining effective advocacy strategies to address them. We will then move to another key piece of advocacy campaigns - communications and messaging – where EdTrust experts will share helpful tools and tips for developing messaging campaigns that “land” with audiences and build support among key decisionmakers. Finally, we will end by discussing how advocates can set themselves up for success by developing systems for measuring impact and sustaining momentum in their advocacy efforts. Throughout the series, The Education Trust will provide insight into various tools and strategies from the Alliance for Resource Equity, a joint initiative between EdTrust and Education Resource Strategies, which community members, advocates, and local education officials can use to push for change. The power we are grooming them to wield must be synchronised with the equally enormous sense of responsibility. The Ambassador Program is an award-winning, student-centered advocacy training that empowers adult learners and the programs that support them. The training has four components: Awareness: This module answers the questions: what is Adult Education, and who are Adult Learners? What are data and statistics, and why are they important? Why is Awareness part of Advocacy? Today, together with the wonderful #Myanmar CARE team we explored when, how and to whom is advocacy targeted when crisis hits. As part of the Emergency Prepardness Planning training led by Apple, colleagues understood that: 1. advocacy messages and tactics need to be agreed on right from the start. 2. Knowing and investing in coordination and representation at Cluster level is also 🗝️ 3. Advocacy in these types of contexts supports and enables the continuation of our projects and operations; hence it is very practical and driven by immediate needs and challenges.
