I’m closely following the changes in the United States regarding Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws– similar to those that have been active in Europe for many years. Here’s the latest to consider: 🌍 For those who have yet to, U.S. manufacturers must begin to plan for the end-of-life management of their products 🌍Each package will have a different fee assigned based on recyclability 🌍EPR programs shift waste-management duties from consumers and governments to producers 🌍Maine, Oregon, Colorado, and California have finalized EPR legislation for packaging, and more states are considering similar laws We can stay ahead of the curve by getting involved early in the process. MCC can advise best practices for products while also helping clients save money on EPR fees. Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eBhJE9UD #EPR #labels #recyclability #packaging
