Same chicken and egg situation with getting a NSN number assigned to a product . The military will buy a product if it has a NSN number assigned to it but a NSN number can’t be assigned unless the military is buying it !! I have been trying for the last 10 years - nobody has been able to help me do it yet !!
OMG!!! This has been my conversation with contractors for the last 90 days! The system needs to change!

1yStill not working. Even if a Prime agrees to sponsor you and that there is a definite need for cleared activities based on taskig, the Prime insists on a letter from the agency on letterhead to verify that the sub needs access to classified material even though it’s on the contract they won! Unfortunately, agencies do not feel that they should be sending time sending these letters and therefore EVEN with having earned full agreement by a prime to sponsor an FC, a small business in this case, will be out of luck, and nobody cares. Without an FC, a small business cannot hold clearances and this cannot recruit DoD workers further shrinking the base by doing nothing.
