What a beautiful morning in Washington, DC to celebrate Canada Day at the Canadian Embassy with Canada’s Ambassador to the United States Kirsten Hillman and her team. Tim Hortons was a huge hit!

Looking good Steve Danon! Kirsten Hillman was in Phoenix a few months ago with Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations (PCFR) to discuss our collaboration and trade between the US and Canada. Also, she did a great job briefing us on the military cooperation and benefits to our region.

Let's make Australia Day a day of recognition of our indigenous people, their culture and land rather than who sells what in supermarkets. Let us recognise that Australia is a country that has been shaped over millions of years by some many events. We need to recognised and acknowledge past events and understand the impact of those events on our oldest continuous living culture. #australiaday #firstnations #indigenouspeoples #australia

What is unfolding in the Middle East at this time, has a had powerful effect throughout the world, where many communities are suffering enormous loss, and pain. Our messaging is not about taking sides, rather it is about humanity and an end to terrorism. This is not about banning Israeli food in the supermarket shelves, or not eating at an Egyptian restaurant, or shopping at a Middle Eastern store, this is about religious and racial tolerance. Having respect and understanding for every community, and where there is no place for extremists in Australia. Around one fifth of the population of the state of Israel are Palestinian-Israelis, where they do business together, they are neighbours sharing food and living together in harmony. We too, support the diverse religions and cultures in Australia, with respect and dignity.
