I had the pleasure of attending the Mitie High Potential event yesterday—not as one of the high potentials, mind you, just an observer. It was fantastic to be in the midst of Mitie's top account and delivery teams. During the session, Frost & Sullivan presented an insightful analysis of the UK facilities management market and its participants, shedding light on the current trends. It got me pondering about motivation and drive, both on a personal level and within the company. How do you stay motivated when you're at the top of your game? How do you push yourself to improve just a little bit each day? Whether you're Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Siya Kolisi of the South Africa Rugby Team, or working in an FM company like ours, what drives performance, and what metrics do you use? Is it the Dave Brailsford approach of incremental gains? His philosophy of "the aggregation of marginal gains" focuses on making small improvements in everything you do, believing that these tiny changes can add up to remarkable results. Or do you measure large absolute changes; trophies or revenue or numbers of contracts at year end? So, what is it that drives us in FM? Is it how many contracts we've won or retained? Is it being voted the best place to work? Or is it something more personal, like the satisfaction of seeing those incremental improvements in our daily tasks? For me, it’s recognising that we are slightly better today than we were last week, last month, and last year. It’s about delivering to our people, our clients, and through these improvements, our stakeholders. However, what motivated me today was beating my personal best on the ride into work on this lovely day!! #mitie #highpotential #motivation

What does being a champion mean to you? The people who become champions are the people who realise their potential, try even when the chances are slim and give their best even for the smallest thing they want to achieve. When we try to achieve something but the results are not as per expectation, we get disappointed and see it as our defeat. At this point, we need to look back at the time we have spent, the effort we have made, and the dedication we have shown, and once we realise that we have done our best, we feel like a winner because there is nothing else we can do but give our best. If you've worked hard and done everything possible, feel good about it and celebrate your achievements. No matter what, you are a champion.

Peer Training I find such a training as the best training platform. It is also the best environment to thrive without fear of failure knowing fully well that your mentor will guide you through the process while letting you chart your own path to specialized field.

I’ve always felt second placed in my life Second listed That’s starting from my name Well it’s classy and I love it but I never really liked second place. I mean who does? It’s for losers. First place is first and foremost That’s why first place is always gold and always gets the gold medal 🥇. The n.1 medal. Be a winner first and foremost. You’ll love it. Think like a winner. Be always 10 steps ahead.

When you look up the words customer/member service in the dictionary you should see Khea Sam's image. Its hard to put into words the positive impact Khea has on our clients experience with us. Khea has spent her career diving deep into our clients getting to know them on a more personal level. She knows names, birthdates, anniversaries, kids names - schools, sports, and everything else. Khea has a gift of learning and remembering the little things about people. These are the things that matter to people - she cares. There is no one better at getting to know the members of organizations we represent than Khea. If someone is at a conference and they are by themselves, its Khea who goes over and introduces them around. It's Khea going around the room making sure everyone there is having a good time or checking to see if they need something. In addition to her gift of taking customer/member service and experiences to a new level, Khea is a dedicated and committed teammate. She is always about getting the job done no matter what. Khea is always there to help her teammates, even when the work on her desk is piled a mile high. We get to work with Khea every day and she makes it fun.
