At a recent business lunch, a colleague asked me what I do for excitement outside of work. Without hesitation, I answered, enjoy creating spaces for relaxation and contemplation. As Albert Einstein once said, "Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." I believe that taking time to disconnect and reflect is essential for personal growth and well-being. Whether it's a fishing or a tranquil garden, these spaces provide a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What about you? Anything on the water is my happy place….although laying on a float next to my dock is about as good as it gets….
Hiking and photography for me! It’s a nice hobby when you’re at the computer most of the day. Here’s a shot I got up in Rabun Bald country.
I love planting flowers and anything to do with water… floating on water, swimming, boating, fishing and just breathing the fresh air soaking up some sunlight. I agree that this is very important for one’s wellbeing.
Good insight! Riding….Hunting… Fishing… and loving every day! Can’t wait to get you in the deer stand hopefully this year and or the upcoming 2nd annual Platinum deep sea trip! 🎣🦌
Absolutely, I couldn't agree more! Disconnecting from our daily routines to reflect and recharge is crucial. I love playing golf with my children. It's a great way to spend quality time together, enjoy the outdoors, and teach them a few life lessons along the way.
Love it all especially being in the woods and near water....
Horseback riding or chilling in our boat on Lanier...
Steve Cooper, what a great post! I love to garden and recently my grandson and I started gardening together!
Gardening, for sure! I gardened with my grandparents as a child and got back into it about 10 years ago. It’s nice to reflect on the day in the company of my plants… even better to harvest food that started from a tiny seed. I love this post, Steve… a reminder to keep balance in our lives.
