As Thor hurls the enchanted hammer with an initial velocity of 20 m/s at a 30-degree angle, calculate the duration Mjölnir spends in the air before reaching Captain's hand. The distance between Thor and Captain America is 20m.

AIRPOWER INDEPENDENT OF RUNWAYS ... The key to supporting Taiwan
Consider this Concept of Operations (CONOP) for the United States Air Force:
- An aircraft generation squadron operating with the US Marine Corps stays mobile in the first island chain, going from hide site to hide site. China is unable to solve the "SCUD problem," and squadron personnel stay safe.
- The squadron is sent a Low-Probability of Intercept (LPI) "execute message" from the joint command center, which includes preplanned parameters (number of aircraft, payload, rendezvous points, etc.).
- The squadron executes a meticulously planned operation, moving to a pre-surveyed road on the island and initiating aircraft generation. This process involves unpacking the aircraft, assembling the wing structures, and inserting the mission modules and weapons.
- The two launch teams move to their positions. The actual length between them is classified, but it is <<8000 feet. They put the first aircraft on the trolleys and prepare to launch.
- Both teams employ the trolley technique to launch their aircraft. This method involves launching left to right, then right to left, and repeating as necessary to get the aircraft in the air. It's a coordinated dance of precision and timing, honed through multiple exercises. Spares are ready to fill in as needed.
- The aircraft fly to their pre-planned execution points, updating their mission software en route.
- The joint command center matches them with targets of opportunity. These aircraft execute as directed.
- The aircraft that survive fly to prioritized recovery zones, cut their engines, deploy their parachutes, and float to the ground or water.
- Recovery teams take these aircraft, do minor repairs as necessary, and then give them to the Marines logistics teams, who deliver them to the launch teams.
- Repeat x10000
- With airpower support, the Taiwan Defense Forces repel the Chinese assault on their country (yes, I said country).
The United States remains the preferred security partner in Asia, which has huge benefits for our economic health and well-being.
THANK YOU to companies like Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, which invests its IRAD and allows us to realize innovative CONOPS like this one. We need innovative technologies like this trolley takeoff.
Plus, it's just damn cool...#airpowernexthttps://lnkd.in/gxqx6VEb
(Disclaimer: I advise Kratos. I couldn't be prouder of their willingness to invest on behalf of tomorrow's warfighters. Primes take notice. This is how we win.)

This is a continuing maritime security or marsec update from Sanborn Analytics. Naval News recently interviewed several executives at NEDS in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where BAE Systems unveiled a novel concept for a high-speed amphibious surface connector. This design offers a sneak peek into BAE Systems' evolving perspective on the UK's proposed Commando Insertion Craft (CIC).
Crafted by BAE Systems' Maritime Services division, the Littoral Strike Craft concept aims to amalgamate elements such as high speed, multi-spectral stealth, and enhanced comfort for the onboard commando team. Details of the ongoing work were presented at the NEDS 2023 exhibition in Rotterdam on November 30th, 2023.
As part of the broader initiative to modernize and reorient the UK's amphibious capabilities, the CIC is set to replace the Royal Marines' current Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVP) MK 5. The overarching CIC requirement seeks a medium-lift craft of the next generation, capable of swiftly transporting a strike team and a small vehicle to the shore from a considerable standoff range (approximately 150 nautical miles). This operation is expected to be executed at high speeds (25+ knots) with minimal detection risk.
