Founder & CEO at Journey

I'm excited to announce that I'm currently writing a book on proactive mental health. The goal is to help set the standard for how companies worldwide support the mental health of their employees. I'm currently interviewing top HR leaders, benefits consultants, and thought leaders in the space to share their unique perspectives on mental health in the workplace. If you have insights this area, I would love to hear from you and potentially feature you in the book. DM me if you're interested or know someone who might be. #MentalHealth #ProactiveMentalHealth #HRLeaders #Consultants #EmployeeWellbeing #Journey

Congratulations on writing a book! Gathering insights from top leaders in the field will definitely enrich your content and provide varied perspectives on this critical issue.

Interested! I’ve just recently been doing some research about how companies support employees, what’s working, and where things are ineffective or even detrimental. The U.S. obviously operates differently than some other countries like in Europe with respect to supporting worker mental health (and caretakers & health in general). With mental health, it’s a big topic that largely scares many organizations. They don’t understand it or make assumptions. There’s fear around liability, about unleashing emotions in the workplace, about how people show up and perform, about the change to culture and operations. Most of all, the effect on the business bottom line. Why wait for problems to emerge? We know mental health is becoming increasingly important to people and mental health issues are increasing. Proactively discussing mental health and having a basis of best practices or standards is the way to get ahead for your people & business. Leaders in organizations need to be willing to gain knowledge and clarity about mental health, the implications to their business, and on their people. This requires having the *real* conversations and actually supporting employees in substantive ways (free food & an app doesn’t cut it).

Congratulations on starting this journey! This is such an important and timely topic, especially as more companies recognize the critical role mental health plays in employee well-being and overall org success. Can’t wait to read it! ✨

Very cool! I was just chatting about this with a friend in working in psych, how proactivity is SO important when embarking on a new career, switching companies, or branching out on your own. To be transparent, my friend and I failed miserably at it and quickly hit burnout. Not fun. Glad you’re doing this!

I'd be happy to share. I've been in transformational health for 20+ years.
