The highly anticipated mega finale of the National STEM Challenge 2022-23, powered by Brillio and organized by STEM Learning, is set to take place on Saturday, 09 September, 2023, in the vibrant city of Pune, Maharashtra. This event stands as a testament to India's growing enthusiasm and prowess in the domains of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). . With a vision to promote and foster STEM education, STEM Learning spearheaded the coordination of this event, which saw enthusiastic participation from 921 exceptionally talented students representing 77 school clusters hailing from over 20 states across India. This wide-reaching participation underscored the event's national significance and its ability to draw young minds from diverse regions. . Dear Connections, The Finale of India's Third National #STEM Challenge for Government and Government-Aided Schools The third edition of India's only national-level STEM challenge for students from government and government-aided schools is coming to a close! This program was designed to engage children from both urban and rural areas and foster their curiosity, innovation, and design thinking skills. It aims to foster their curiosity, innovation, and design thinking skills. Over the past year, more than 2,000 children from more than 200 government schools in 20 states of India have participated in this program. They have competed in over 70 cluster, zonal, and state rounds, and the final round will be held in Pune on September 9 The top 50 teams/100+ students will be participating in finale The finale will be a great opportunity for students to showcase their STEM skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills. They will also have the chance to win prizes and scholarships. We are excited to see the innovative solutions that the students come up with. 🌟 Empowering Rural Education: Mahindra Susten's Commitment to Community Development 🌟 We are thrilled to present our 2nd STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) lab at Govt. Secondary School, Dhokavada, Gujarat under our community engagement (CSR) program “Gyandeep” to our young local stakeholders. Dhokavada school is located ~40 km from the India-Pakistan border and is the last school in that area. The opening ceremony was organized by the school administration as a token of appreciation and was attended by #Gujarat Government officials and team members from Susten ( Ankit Jain , Ssiddharth Rana) & Ennoble Social Innovation (Chirag Bhandari) NGO implementing agency. It was recently featured on a local news channel in Gujarat. Why this initiative matters: Access to Quality Education: According to UNESCO, every additional year of schooling can increase a person's income by up to 10%. Our STEM lab aims to provide students with the skills needed for the 21st century. Bridging the Gap: Rural schools often lack the resources found in urban areas. By equipping this school with state-of-the-art technology, we aim to level the playing field for these students. Community Impact: Studies show that improved school infrastructure can increase student attendance by up to 20% and enhance academic performance. About the STEM Lab: This cutting-edge facility is equipped with ·      Interactive Screens ·      Computers and Mechanical Tools ·      Telescopes and 3D Printers ·      Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning Kits ·      Students from class 3 to 12 can engage in over 600 different activities, fostering a hands-on learning environment. STEM which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) is slowly transforming from a trendy hashtag into a powerful movement, encouraging more women to explore the world of science and technology. In India, nearly 43% of all STEM graduates are women, but they constitute only 14% of scientists, engineers, and technologists in research development institutions and universities. Therefore, creating pathways for girls to embrace STEM at a young age is crucial.
