🔇 I have been laid off 3x in my career....so my bubble was burst a long time ago. The hard truth of 2023 and 2024 for those that thought they were "safe" because they were part of a FAANG company.... the truth is business is business. Period! No one is ever safe, no matter how long you've been with a company or how good the "kool aid" is. ❌ ❌ ✅ Always, always, ALWAYS be prepared! ✅ Update your resume....my rule is review quarterly! ✅ Update your LinkedIn....quarterly! ✅ Always be networking! Build relationships at all times..... your network will work for you....if you nurture it! 💌 Be prepared so you aren't caught short! #rootingforyou #resume #jobseekerguide #heretohelp

So true. I didn’t do this and I got laid off in January after 13 years of giving 110%. Now I’m lost and don’t have the examples and metrics I would like to have about my experience.

So true Stefanie Fackrell (she/her). Props for updating your resume quarterly. I could never do that (even annually). BUT, I did set myself up well by saving things in my "accomplishments" folder and doing my own annual review with the key accomplishments. I made sure I had those stories and bullet points so I would be able to use it in the future for my resume and interview stories.

I updated my resume and profile to make it neat around 4 times out of 10
