Who are these job posters? I'm sorry, but nobody needs 13+ years of experience to do your mid-level job. A heartbeat, a threshold level of intelligence, and a month of training will probably do the trick. I went from high school student to attorney in 6.5 years. My favorite person in the world (who to be quite fair is a genius), went from a high school student to a Doctor of Chemical Engineering in 8 years flat. "13+ years of progressively responsible technical experience"? What on earth are you expecting out of this job? I could drop everything I do right now, spend 3 years finishing a biology degree, 4 years in medical school, 3 years in residency, and become a full-fledged practicing medical physician in the same amount of time I could rack up 10 more years of legal experience. Do tell! What is it about the skills required of a "Contract Specialist II" that makes them take more time to develop than those of a pediatric oncologist? #jobsearch #corporatelife #inhousecounsel #law #legalops

Chegg Expert at chegg India I QC/Subject Matter Expert (SME/QC-Chegg) (QC Expert-Chegg) (Content Writer) (Education)
🔍 Seeking Clarity: Recent Application for SME Chemistry Role Greetings LinkedIn Community, I hope this post finds you all in good spirits. I'd like to share an experience and seek advice or insights from fellow professionals. Recently, I applied for a new job role as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Chemistry at a prominent company (let's keep the name confidential for now). Following initial discussions with the HR team, I underwent a rigorous test assessment which consumed approximately 6 hours of focused effort. After completing the assessment diligently, I reached out to the HR department for an update on the results. However, it's been over two days without any response from their end. Despite my polite follow-up emails, I haven't received any confirmation regarding my selection or rejection for the position. Understandably, such uncertainty can be quite unsettling. Hence, I kindly request HR to spare just a couple of minutes to provide clarity on the outcome of the assessment. Whether positive or negative, a prompt response would greatly assist in managing expectations and planning ahead. I emphasize this not out of impatience, but merely to ensure a transparent and respectful communication process. Your insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding. Warm regards, Namrata Sharma [subject matter experts/Qc Expertchegg-India] #subjectmatterexperts #hrcareers #hrhiring #subjectmatterexpert #employeesafety #employeerelations

What no one tells you about being a technical recruiter is that your google algorithm gets really messed up. To recruit on our positions we often have to do a lot of googling about various subjects to learn enough to have a decent conversation with candidates. After a while you start getting ads for laboratory instrumentation, HPLC columns, various pharmaceuticals, and a litany of other random things. When Thermofisher is advertising between Ms Rachel videos (if you know you know #toddler) you might have a problem. On another note there are multiple heat advisories across NorCal this week. Its super hot... You know what else is hot? Our jobs!
