Recently, I applied for a new job role as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Chemistry at a prominent company (let's keep the name confidential for now). Following initial discussions with the HR team, I underwent a rigorous test assessment which consumed approximately 6 hours of focused effort. After completing the assessment diligently, I reached out to the HR department for an update on the results. However, it's been over two days without any response from their end. Despite my polite follow-up emails, I haven't received any confirmation regarding my selection or rejection for the position. Understandably, such uncertainty can be quite unsettling. Hence, I kindly request HR to spare just a couple of minutes to provide clarity on the outcome of the assessment. Whether positive or negative, a prompt response would greatly assist in managing expectations and planning ahead. I emphasize this not out of impatience, but merely to ensure a transparent and respectful communication process. Your insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
