United in the fight against cancer. Thank you to everyone who stood up in honor of their loved ones and for SU2C Ambassador Andra Day’s beautiful performance of “Rise Up” during the #StandUpToCancer placard moment at the San Francisco Giants vs St. Louis Cardinals game in Birmingham, Alabama. In tribute to the Negro Leagues, Major League Baseball (MLB) hosted this game at the historic Rickwood Field, the oldest professional ballpark in the U.S. As always, we thank MLB for their continuous support of SU2C and our mission to fund groundbreaking cancer research! ❤️

Half of men over sixty have prostate cancer, most don't know this yet and for many, it is not a problem. But for others it is fatal. For the last couple of years, I have been helping Professor Colin Cooper and the team at UEA raise money to continue their research. This short video explains their extraordinary successes and why it is vital they continue. https://lnkd.in/euiukmXi.

https://lnkd.in/gtQiJCA4 THE FUTURE OF BREAST CANCER RESEARCH Imagine, if there could be a fairly straight forward, wearable technology; a bioreactor bra, which would disrupt and halt the proliferation of early tumors? Is it possible to actually target and disrupt fast-dividing precancerous stem cells long before they become a cancer? Simply put - is it possible to actually prevent breast cancer? After 100 years of using the destructive power of radiation upon tumor and cancer cells what is needed in the art and has not been available is an apparatus for destroying dividing cells, wherein the apparatus better discriminates between dividing cells, and non-dividing cells and is capable of selectively destroying the dividing cells or organisms with substantially no effect on the non-dividing cells or organisms. Please let us know what your thoughts are?

It takes a great deal of courage to speak of one's own experiences of vulnerability, especially related to #cancer. Our friend and #survivor, Leon, opened up to share his story and we are grateful. You can watch his video here: https://lnkd.in/g-3PwrTJ

That’s my hero meeting one of his heroes and it got me thinking… My son, Booth, is 677 days into his battle against Cancer. Team Garnett has learned many life lessons while fighting Leukemia and while there is a massive game plan in place to beat this disease, the unexpected happens seemingly every day. Anyone who loves the New York Football GIANTS and watched them compete on Sunday knows the unexpected happened. You don’t have to play in the NFL or fight Cancer to face the unexpected - we all have to battle every day, especially when the game plan is disrupted. The Unexpected = Opportunity -Opportunity to get better - if we are lucky enough to wake up the next day we get another shot to compete and a chance to try to EARN a victory. -Opportunity to reflect on what went well and how we can improve. -Opportunity to reflect on what did not go well and how we can improve. -Opportunity to calmly, rationally, and strategically adjust the game plan accordingly. -Opportunity to see how we can be a better teammate. The unexpected can be unsettling - but we can have a lot of fun when opportunities arise and we Battle Like Booth.
